Draught. Light-hazed copper body under a short, cream-colored head. Diverse nose of florals, herbs, minerals and citrus, none really dominating the others. A candied tangerine sweetness is surprising before a more moderate caramel flavor. Hops join late with more of a bitter citrus and herbs. Results in a somewhat choppy finish to the flavor. Mid-bodied and dry. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Old notebook, rating undated. jrob21 (3660) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Bottle from a trade a while back. Nice malt backbone for a double IPA but this may have been a little past its prime with the hops faded a bit. Much more of a syrupy sweet drink at this point. That is not to say this is a bad beer just that I would like to have been able to compare this to a fresh version. Raisin and plum dominate the flavors. Band aidish hops on the finish. Toffee and caramel malt body is big and sweet. TimE (5774) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 3, 2010
dark amber color, cotton candy and apples with a big caramel backbone. Full bodied, big caramel malty backbone. A bit too sweet for my liking, moderately bitter finish. Well balanced. Nice. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JAN 29, 2010
Thanks to ibrew2or3 for this one.
A: Pours a cloudy orange hue with a light head. No real retention or lace.
S: Caramel malt sweetness, fresh florida orange with some light notes of bitter grapefruit.
T: Nice balance between hops and malt. Gooey caramel with some brown sugar. Lots of orange with mild grapefruit, Wow just like the nose.
M: Medium in body smooth.

The curse IPA only identified via the picture on the BA website, has a red wax covering and does not say The Curse anywhere on it. This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a very hazy dark orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy floral and malty. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of strong deep malts on a strong deep hop base with a strong caramel note. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2009 Bottle of the Curse IPA courtesy of FlssmrBrewAlum. Pours hazy copper with assertive tan head. The aroma is fine smelling indeed with a pleasing mix of crystal malts, pine hops and a dash of citrus. The taste is much the same bringing together a full pine to resiny hop bitterness along with pine hop flavor, some malt sweetness, crystal malts and a tasty thin layer of grapefruit. Yummy IPA with plenty of hop flavor and bitterness to go along with just enough malts to let you know they’re there. HOPSHUNTER (742) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 26, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to Ibrew2or3 for the share. Poured a hazy dark golden color with a tall off-white head leaving loads of lace. Aroma is caramel, citrus, and pine. Medium bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. Flavor is resiny with lots of caramel, citrus, and grass. Sweet and bitter. Finishes sweet with long lasting bitterness. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - JUL 26, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2009 Pours orange. Loads of oarnages, grapefruit, lime, caramel and toffee. Flavor is a citrus bomb! Big bitterness and sweet caramel to balance. Awesome! BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2009
Bottle shared with Sparky27...thanks Eric!!! Rusty penny pour with a dense, bright ivory head that left significant lacing. A very pretty brew. Nose is more toffee, caramel, and dark fruit than citrus and pine. Quite syrupy but it somehow worked. Nice coating mouthfeel. Another good beer by Flossmoor. Bomber courtesy of msante76. Pours murky amber with a thin off-white head. The nose is caramel malt and fruity hops. The taste is sweet toffee, overripe fruit, brown sugar and light pine in the finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Good, but too sweet for me. Thanks Mark!
