Thick-hazed golden/amber under a creamy, thick, white & holding head. Strong citric, yeast & spice aroma... a very attractive nose. Thick and a little chalky with a full-flavored linger. Flavor is predominantly fruity with a strong yeast background. Alcohol shows big late. Really good (and there is a smiley face scribbled in my notes.) ~~~~~~~~~~ On draught, Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, Flossmoor, IL (No longer on tap, this review is from old notes). GTMW 2009. Poured a slightly hazy pale light orange color. The head was thick and white with good retention and lacing. Unusual aroma profile that included the likes of polenta, hay, and a bit of lemon. Medium bodied and sweet with mild bitterness. I tasted white frosting, baking spices, and a bit of alcohol at the end. Imperial wits tend not to do much for me. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2009
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, floral, citrus, banana, and wheat. Flavor of wheat, grass, pepper, clove, banana, and coriander with a bitter finish. DrnkMcDermott (3120) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2009
Beer #18 at GTMW ’09. Beautiful, cloudy white beer, head would be a lot puffier if it weren’t in this narrow sample glass. Clean white beer smell with a little bit of lemon and wit esters. I’m rating beers pretty high around here, but then I’m just very happy with everything I find. Taste just brings in a lot of alcohol without being overly hot, just smooth on a hot summer’s day. Not imperial in the usual sense, just a fine wit beer that happens to have extra alcohol. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 22, 2009

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy rusty yellow with a white creamy head. Wheat, Belgian yeasts, banana, fruit and sweet. Flavors of fruit, grapefruit rind, spices, alcohol and a long bitter finish. The booze and bitterness make it not so fun to drink. This might be better fresher. inkubus27 (269) - highland, Indiana, USA - JUL 1, 2009
Nice aroma of clove/banana and pepper. To me, this was really peppery... a little too much for my tastes. Pretty hefty mouthfeel, which was nice. A slight bit of alcoholic heat. Overall pretty interesting, just way too much pepper msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2009
On draft at brewpub. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is banana, clove and spices. Flavor is banana, clove, a bit of yeast and a good spicey finish. Interesting brew but booze was definitely there. Decent ale and better than a regular wit. drfabulous (8224) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Draught at Flossmoor. Pours cloudy orange. Banana is dominant in the taste. Belgian yeast taste. Very nice overall. ilovedarkbeer (2744) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Nose is honey wheat and banana. Flavor is banana, peanut butter, clove, and honey. Mouthfeel is creamy but the alcohol is obvious. Medium to long finish.
