Cask (Guide Dog, Southampton) - Golden with a white head. Elderflower and citrus in the aroma. Elderflower, grain and some slightly earthy notes in the taste. Not as good as it could be. ForlornHope (536) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2016
Gravity-served cask pint. Brilliant, clear pale yellow appearance with a loose white head. Not much aroma, some flower and hop. Taste is sweet, then a little bitterness. Flavours of honey and fruit, some elderflower and a malty base. True to Flowerpots form, a dry finish. At the sweet end of the spectrum for a brewery known for its bitter ales and probably a little too sweet to be truly refreshing. booldawg (70) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2015
Have tried a few ales infused with elder flowers before and was hoping for a nice peachy aroma and fresh elder taste.
The elder infusion didn’t seem to work in this ale and wasn’t very pleasant.

Smells of chillis. A bit ’organic’. Pale, brief head. Tastes also of chillis, but without the head. Vegetal. (Pods, presumably!) A bit thin, but it is 3.8% so it’s not too surprising. A bit quirky in places, but not necessarily in a good way.

Cask at GBBF. Very slightly hazy pale gold beer. Light dry and crispy palate. Very light hops. Light elderflower, slightly bitter.Light and crisp. A little watery too but refreshing.
On cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Attractive clear, bright gold colour. Good condition. Lots of citrus. Sharp, clean mouthfeel. Very refreshing but not as aromatic as the old Cheriton version.
