head, peterchurch, Herefordshire. Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of malts. Taste is malts, some caramel and hop bittering. Ok beer.
On tap at a pub in Windsor - can't remember which one. This was one more pint of flavorless swill. Pours golden with minimal head. No flavor at all. A medium bodied glass of yellow water. Brigadier (3680) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - SEP 2, 2013

With limited options to choose from this seemed the most appealing. Time permitting I would have loved to go back to Slaughterhouse but that’s life. The good news is that I have had far worse bitters. A run of the mill pub clip probably sells as good as it does because of the Shakespeare caricature. Don’t be fooled yourself unless it is a freebie.
Aroma / Appearance - The caramel base is on the thin fluid side. A khaki head bubbles with a tease of carbonation below the surface. Butterscotch, caramel chews, and light malts stand out. If any hops were used in the brewing process they have faded away into the background.
Flavor / Palate - Butterscotch and caramel notes slip past the tongue before anything shows up. Pretty routine it at least has some flavor to it before fading in the back of the throat. There are no glaring flaws. However if you’ve had enough bitters to understand the style you’ve had a number just like this one.
Draught @ hilton Bracknell. Dark amber to brown coloured beer with some medium carbonation and a small white head. Rather floral hoppy hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is bitter hoppy balanced. Not bad. humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - APR 12, 2013
(on tap @ Cino Lounge, Hilton Warwick) Pours a clear, dark amber with no head. Aroma is malt and urinal cake. Watery texture, light body, soft carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Taste is bland.

Cask. Dark clear gold. Thick cream coloured bubbles. Surprising amount of carbonation. Very floral nose, with bags of malt too. Smells a little like a urinal cake. Taste is floral, though not as pungent as the taste. Like drinking a weak pot pourri. Not unpleasant though... Finish has just enough bitter to take the edge off it. UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 On tap in London 04 aug11. Dark amber colour with a thick off white head. Mild malt and hoppy nose. Mild flavour but gives a nice mouthfeel. Medium sweet malt, light hoppy and a light roasted flavour in the background. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - JUL 11, 2010
Tap @ Leopold Tavern, Southsea, UK. Pours dark amber with thick off white Head. Arma malts and hops. Dry hoppy flavor. Sweet, lean and still crisp on palate. Finishes bitter hoppy. weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2010
Cask. Amber with an off white medium head. Again, my nose is knackered so can’t smell fuck all. Flavour was a nice drinkable caramel with some light roasted malts and hop bitterness. I liked it. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2009 Unexpected rate at a Brewer’s Fayre-type place. Tawny amber with a nitro slick. Copper penny aroma. Watery with notes of rust, biscuit, caramel, nibble of hop extract. Thin, metallic and painful. But I drank it.
