Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a fairly dark close to black color with a semi-foamy white head. Moderate dissipation, sly lace.
The aroma had some roasted grains, some sweet oats, light toast and a little bit of coffee.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side and pulling about some roast underneath, trying to balance. Light semi-sweet aftertaste. No finish.
The feel was just a tad over medium in body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Somewhat smooth along my tongue.
Overall, nice brown ale worthy of coming back to. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2012
[4165-20111202] Cask. Roasted grains aroma certainly hints at oat. Black body with a quick foamy light tan head. More heavily roasted coffee grounds and oatmeal in the flavour. Full body. Tasty, repeatable. (7/3/7~/4/14) 3.5

2011-12-02. Black body with a nice tan head. 3+ Toasty roasty aroma, modest malt profile below. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly malty, rich nutty toasty notes are not quite as roasty as in the aroma. Average plus bodied palate. Solid, very enjoyable brown ale. Cask at Goodbar, Buffalo
