Pours a murky chestnut color with a medium off white head...decent lacing. Aroma has mild woody/earthy notes and dark fruits...raisin. flavor has caramel and brown sugar, some raisin, earthy/woody hop notes...a balancing earthy bitterness cuts through the sweetness. Tap at the source. Pours clear brown with a medium, frothy beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel, toast, and nutty malt, earthy hops and dates. Draft at the brewery. Pours cloudy medium brown with a light tan head. Tasted like caramel, raisins, with slight bitterness. Smells like malt and caramel. Light body and medium carbonation. Interesting flavor.
