Tap at Jack Rose. Clear deep brown pour with reddish highlights. Medium tan foam. Weaker retention. Vinegar, odd cherry nose. Dark cherry attempt. Taste is papery, bitter, dark cherry. Okay. Lactic palate, mild chocolate density. Not too bad. Wouldn’t call it Old Ale though. More Belgian Strong. dbarnold (1127) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - APR 11, 2013
bleh...pours muddy brown and tastes it, not much going on with tasty malts nor distinctive hops...you can miss this one AxlLives (288) - Maryland, USA - APR 4, 2013
Tap - @ RHP. Pours cloudy chocolate with fizzy cola-like white head. Caramel, malt, chocolate, and roasted nuts on the nose. Tastes is all malty toasty with hints of nuts, light bitter notes, finishes dry and tingly. Medium bodied, long finish. Ok, if not exceptionally memorable. Definitely an old ale. Keep experimenting local boys!!! pras (602) - Maryland, USA - APR 3, 2013
This one was decent. Nice body. Flavor was pretty malt forward. Not much hop bitterness. Tasted good, but nothing remarkable.

Sampled at Churchkey during CBC week. Pours a hazy, mahogany amber with some cloudy white head. Fruity nose, malty too, caramel, nuts. Flavor is sweet, apple, caramel, nuts. Not much too it. Decent finish.
