COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.

12oz. Said it before, I’ll say it again: love the wave of blood orange IPA’s happening right now. This fits the bill properly as well bringing a nice tartness to the center of the palate. Good stuff, wish it was as pricey as it is for a 6er...

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2018 Draft. It poured a clear orange gold color with a white head and nice lacing. The aroma was floral with a slight citrus note. It was well balanced with just a slight bitterness on the backend.

Can from the Six Barrel Drafthouse, Nottingham. Light brown, clear with a bit of white head. Orange peel, some iced tea, candy sugar in the aroma. It's incredibly sweet for an IPA, only slightly tempered by the sourness provided by the blood orange. Light raw sugar and citrus peel notes in the aftertaste. Tasty, if far from Flying Dog's best showing.

Not a bad ale, potent flavor, almost calls for too much. Would have one or two a night, but probably would not buy a case. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected], from Beer Republic. Intense, refreshing, slightly bitter nuances of blood orange, citrus, some pine. Lots of hops. No malts detected. Averagely balanced. Medium/narrow taste spectrum and long hoppy aftertaste with citrus and some blood orange.Light/medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, simple but natural and refreshing.

0,33l bottle from Beer Republic, pouring hazy golden color. Aroma of citrus, orange, tangerine, pine, malts. Mediumish body, bitterness and hoppiness, maybe slightly below the average. Short a bit bitter aftertaste. Fruity IPA, nothing spectacular, but nonetheless well crafted beer.

Bottle from Total Wines. Deep orange in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweet, tangerine, fruits, citrus hops, biscuity malts, a hint of spice and pleasantly bitter finish. Enjoyable.
