Bottle compliments of b-law. Very very unique aroma with cloves, carmdomon, slightly cinnimon and other peppery spices. Light bodied. Light bitter. Light sweetness. A sort of medicinal aftertaste. Good texture. Very unique taste and aroma. Have to try one. johninmelb (1127) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2013
Very odd tangy nose with a lot of orange and a worrying amount of spray n wipe. Pours a debris daubed orange with a quickly disappearing head. The flavour is genuinely weird - notes of parma violets, parma ham and elderflower cordial. There’s a fragrant, spring herb garden start and a decaying, dying herb garden finish. Some notes of bitterness come through and bear with them an astringency that leaves some acidity. It’s not a drain pour by any means, and faced with the challenge of a hopless IPA it’s a good effort, but although I’m glad I’ve tried it to experience the competition and I’ll seek out the Brew Dog competitor, I won’t rush to seek this one out again. teddybeer (3891) - Madrid, SPAIN - JAN 23, 2013
Bottled. Hazy orange colour with..., without head. Aroma has citrus and orange notes, some rosemary and thyme hints. Flavor is sweet, mondarine and pumpkin traces, thyme traces as well. Sweet final with an herbal sensation. SamP01 (668) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Pours an orange amber with a small quickly fading white head. Aroma and Taste of spicy herbs, vegetables, some citrus fruity notes and bitter hops. Palate is medium body, smooth mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Finishes with sweet spices, herbs, and vegetable notes mild citrus fruity favors ending with a lingering slightly dry bitterness. Overall I felt it was a pretty interesting and good brew. jredmond (8445) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Draft at pony bar HK. Pours a clear golden body with no head, thin white lacing. Aroma is coriander and maybe some other spices. Mouthfeel is horrific, artificial cleaner, soap, coriander. Good god. Highly offensive. Thank Christ I only sampled 5 oz because that in itself was a chore.

Terrible brew. It looks awful. It’s completely dead. Smell is very artificial. Taste as well, with artificial sweetness, something sour and....well, who cares. This one’s going down the drain. snoworsummer (5915) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 13, 2013
On tap at flying dog. Average taste and flavor. Minimal carbonation and hops. Somewhat impressed. Scopey (15265) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle at home. It pours hazy orange with a fizzy white head. The nose is herbal, bubblegum, spearmint, bay leaf, tinned peach, spice, floral, perfumed and sponge cake. The taste is nettle, spice, floral, herb, sweet orange, tangerine, earth, some warming alcohol and metal with a dry, weirdly herbal finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Odd tasting to say the least. The flavours don’t exactly meld together well either. I easily prefer the BrewDog version. Fun experiment but that’s it. rosenbergh (11660) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 10, 2013
355 ml bottle. BB 14/06/13. From bierzwerg.de.flying_pig (1601) - SCOTLAND - JAN 10, 2013
Amber colour with some jellyfish floating around in the glass.
Aroma is like ginger ale with some spices. Flavour is bad. Herbs and spices in flavour. I didn’t like the BrewDog version and I certainly don’t like this. Yuch!
Bottle (355ml from Good Spirits Co. Glasgow):
Herbal and quite spicy with a strong, sweet aroma mixed with some caramel and honey. There is some orange zest in the aroma too along with some mild pine and citrus notes, rounded off with some grapefruit as well.
An orange amber colour with a thin, half centimetre tall and slightly off white head that disappears after about thirty seconds.
Herbs upfront and a good caramel base and plenty of spice. There is a floral flavour coming through and some bitterness despite the zero IBU’s and strange, sort of elderflower and perfume aftertaste.
Medium bodied, fairly smooth and with mild carbonation and plenty of spice and a touch of sweetness plus the aforementioned bitterness.
I preferred this one slightly more than the Brewdog version, with both being rather disappointing. This one had a very good aroma but the taste was lacking some and the rest was pretty average so it’s not one I would recommend.
