a clear amber/golden colored beer, with a beige head. It dissapears quickly. The aroma of scented spices, some hop and strange fruits. The taste of sweet fruits, overripe grapefruits with a little spices. The aftertaste is scented sweet. AndySnow (7933) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - DEC 9, 2012
Bottle. Hazy amber colour with lots of deposits floating around in it. Herbal aroma. First sip is pretty ok. Second one goes down. Third one... just make it stop. Better than the BrewDog version, but not because this is good just because their’s is worse. A horrible excuse of a beer. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Pours reddish orange with a small and quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is bread, spice, raspberry and floral. Taste is sweet with spicy undertones, maybe a little tartness. Medium bodied with slick texture. Not sure this works, it was not as bad to me as some reviews suggested but it was certainly not something I would continue to purchase. Interesting idea but FD could do much better. LoFi (1735) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2012
Paler than the BrewDog, dark amber to light copper, off-white head.
Aroma: lots of white pepper, sweet maltiness.
Taste: sweet maltiness, white pepper dominates, but also lots of other spices (this version also has kind of a Christmas feel), orange and sweet lemon.
This is a bit nasty. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - DEC 5, 2012

Appearance: Pours a cloud orange.
Aroma: Aroma of a hint of pumpkin, bready malt.
Taste: Faint bitterness in the form of spice, faint pumpkin(don’t know if I’m the only one tasting that), bready malt.
Palate:Medium light body.
Summary: Figured since I’ve already rated so many Flying Dog beers this week, why not one more?! I know the goal was to emulate an IPA, in that way I get the intentions of the spice, but it’s not the same. Interesting beer on it’s own merit though, guess it’s about how you package things. The more I drink it though, it tastes worse.
Bottle. Amber, slightly hazy. Very perfumy nose, like walking into a soap store. Lavender, roses, ginger, herbs, foresty flavours. Some vegetables, peppercorns. Really a lot of different things. Medium body, a bit of acidity. Malts, orange peel, cola. Some vanilla mango. Strange gruut. Very fruity, perhaps a bit overly spiced.ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 3, 2012

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2012
Aroma: The nose is kind of herbal, with a little bit of spice, some lemon, and some orange
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy dark orange color with a small, fizzy off-white head
Flavor: The taste has some spice notes, a kind of odd herbal presence, and some light citrus
Palate: A light-mid body, it has a tingly feel, with an almost juice-like consistency, and an odd finish
I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, but it did sort of work based on what they were trying. Interesting really sums it up. It’s not an IPA, and it doesn’t totally work, but it is definitely interesting.
Medium sized, lively beige light tan colored head. Disappears pretty quick and leaves not much on top of an almost clear orange amber colored beer.
Smell lots of grapefruit, herbs, spices, corn, grains, ginger, dust and marzepin.
Taste is a mix if spicy herbs, grapefruit, orange peel, orange peel/grapefruit/plantish bitters, ginger, grains, some biscuit, clove drenched/cooked barley malts, some vegetables and more ginger and herbs.
Aftertaste is sharper, spicy and bitter herbs and spices, some fruits like grapefruit, lemon and grapes. And there is also some ginger in the aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture.
Strange beer but not realy bad. In the beginning it’s quite tasty but after a while the mix of ginger and grapefruit does start to annoy. mike_77 (6882) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2012
Very spicy with lots of ginger cake and bay leaf. Very thin and watery compared to the Brewdog. Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - DEC 1, 2012
Geruch erinnert an Kräuterlimonade, weinartige Züge. Herb-süßlicher Antrunk. Mitte kräuterig und süß. Weinhefeartiger Abgang, verhalten trocken und bitter. Etwas irritierndes Bier.
