Bottle. Light amber, hazy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate and sweetish aroma, caramel, herbal spiciness (ginger), light berry fruitiness. Body is average and sweetish flavor with herbal spiciness, some caramel, berry fruitiness, light alcohol. Finish is average and sweetish, some caramel, herbal spiciness, some alcohol. Watery "beer” with lots of spiciness and too much alcohol in the finish.

Shared bottle. Pours pale golden with a white head. The herb aroma hits the nose at once. The same goes for flavor. This version is a bit more subtle than Brewdogs. The herbs blends more in with the beer and makes it more drinkable. An interesting brew... Beerhammaren (1811) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 28, 2012

Pours a bit hazy orange with low head. Aroma is bitter. Herbs, citrusfruits, lime, ginger(?) and white pepper and mango. Flavor is bitter. Herbs, citrus fruits, malts and roots. Refrehing actually and nice! A bit better than BD version. WilleLW (282) - Lund, SWEDEN - NOV 26, 2012
Hazy amber colour with a crispy head that bubbled away quickly. Spicy aroma of pumpkin, rosemary and some elderflower and candy. Taste of some caramell, rosemary, floral, herbs and some berries. Special/odd taste, more like "lemonade" with malt than beer. Watery and thin body. Easy to drink and I guess it can be nice as a thirst quencher a hot summer day.
But the impressions were weak. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Bottle. Pours mostly clear amber with thin, fizzy off-white head, which quickly dissipates. Aroma is biscuit and caramel malt, grass, straw, floral notes, spice, lemon, and light pine. Flavor is all sweet malts with some light fruit esters; some notes of caramel, oranges, and honey with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white cap of head.Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Aroma: Wrigly chewing gum. Double mint and or big red. I know one is mint and one is cinnamon, but it goes back and forth from those two particular odors. Also some dog shampoo.
Taste: Selson blue, pine, earth, mint.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.
Overall: In war, nobody wins, and in the case of this “Race” or “War”, we are all losers. This was barely drinkable, and I enjoy a good spiced/herb vegetable beer. The BrewDog version was even worse and stopped mid way through the tasting notes.
Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of strawberries, herbal and floral notes, and some sarsaparilla. The taste is berries, floral and earthy notes. Medium bodied. Nice beer. anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 21, 2012
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with hints of citrus. Fruity malty spicy bitter flavor. has a fruity malty spicy bitter citrus finish. r464 (2370) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
"You can really taste the kale!"
Deep coppery color. Thin tannish head. Odd, vegetable and herb flavor overpowers the ale. Slightly bitter, but more like raw broccoli than hops. Pine needles and pepper are in the mix as well. peral2 (578) - SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2012
Bottle from SB. I rated BrewDog 2.1So I am still curious: can You make an IPA without any Hops and without any bitterness at all? This is also a fruity variance of "beer", with some ginger in taste? but to answer the Question above; NO! And Who won the race: it is a draw.
