At the Backstabber’s tasting, pours golden with a small head, aroma of cherry, strawberries, passion fruit, flavor is slightly bitter with tangerine, spices, nutmeg, clove, medium bodied alexmate (294) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2016
Reminded me a lot of a Belgian wheat beer. Has a cloudy amber appearance and a thin saliva-esque white head. On the nose: some subtle pear, brandy notes, cloves, cinnamon and five spice. On the palate: the clove pretty much dominates, the pear is almost hidden, has a gentle bitterness and some pepper notes. Price paid: Around £2:50. Would I try it again? Maybe. wyldeturkey101 (148) - - JUL 31, 2016
the aroma is strong with the spice.one of my favorite flavors in some beers is the spice. this really represents the spiced beers well. snoworsummer (6146) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 19, 2016
From a bottle. Pours hazy orange. Smells like pear, toasted malts, allspice, and some floral hops. Tastes like pear, pale malts, toast, toffee, and very faint floral hops. Light/medium body and carbonation.

355ml bottle from the Greyhound, Derby. Golden, hazy with a large thick white head. Cinnamon and orchard fruit dominate with some hot buttered toast and a touch of brandy. Tastes sweet with a spicy tang but not a lot there. Palate is pretty thin. Good, not amazing but certainly worth trying. GuideDogSaint (1766) - Xiamen, CHINA - JUN 6, 2016

Golden in colour. Taste of spiciness. Slight fruits, but not as much as I thought there would be. harrisoni (19398) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2016
Bottle from Ship & Mitre Liverpool and drunk in my hotel room. Gold haze lasting off white head. A little funky fruity aroma. Liked baked pear with a little fresh pear too . Some spice no doubt. Plenty of fleshy pear flavour with some black pepper spice finish. Ok. AshtonMcCobb (6943) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 18, 2016
Sample bottle from Dunns.
Appearance - amber that eventually clears up. An attractive if thin lace head.
Nose - distinctive notes of pear and those Halloween spices - nutmeg and cinnamon specifically.
Taste - pear intermingled with cinnamon, nutmeg and a thin layer of pale malt at the back.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly balanced finish.
Overall - like a pumpkin ale that has replaced the pumpkin with pear.
