Keg at BD Shoreditch as "Chipotle Brown Ale 10%". It pours a black colour with a small brown head. Aroma of smoke. Flavor is smoke and a strong and sharp hop bitterness at the end. Heat is there at the end and is subtle, but increases as you drink the beer with just the right amount of spice at the end. Creamy mouthfeel. Good one. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is toasty and a little smoke. It’s full and dark and has just enough pepper to let you know it’s there, but not overpowering. This was fresh, with good hop character, when that fades it will still be a good beer.

Tap at CK. Clear, deep red highlights on a dark near black pour. Huge tan lace. Hot pepper aroma/chipotle chocolate with mild chemical. Taste is herbal, a good dose of capsaicin heat, dark chocolate, lemon. Long, moderately spicy finish with some dirt and soil. Still very drinkable and still stout in body. Tap - pours dark black-brown, decent fluffy tan head. Sharp aromas of tangy dark malts, roasted chilis, and dark chocolate. Definite pepper. Tap at Rustico. Pours clear black with a large, creamy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is chipotle peppers, pine, resin, and grapefruit hops with roast malt. This one poured a medium brown with a beige head. Aroma was of light chilies, medium roast, and light green herbal hops. Flavor was a nice blend of bitterness between light chili heat, some earthy hops, and medium roast with light choclate in the back to balance it out. Nice stuff. Opaque, very dark brown with tan head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of roasted malt, hot peppers, raisins and chocolate.
Taste of roasted malt, spicy chipotle peppers, chocolate and sweet dark fruit. Lots of chipotle flavor but not too much fire. The hot pepper burn comes through at the finish, after you have enjoyed the other flavors.
Medium body and medium carbonation.
