3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2014 Bomber into English pint glass, very dark brown color with dark tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, roasted malt, some caramel and faint cocoa. Taste is pretty much the aroma, maybe slight more cinnamon oomph, with some earthy hop bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation with some bitter roast finish. Pretty solid porter though slightly overpriced that day for its "rarity".
On tap @ SL Liquors. Pours a deep brown color with a thin light tan head that fell to a ring. Aroma of roasted malt, cinnamon, light caramel and a hint of cocoa. Taste follows the aroma, with a nice dose of cinnamon on the finish and some earthy hop bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation. jackl (8522) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2014
Keg @ Sedona. Deep brown pour with red highlights. Tight tan head. Mellow cinnamon and anise on the nose. Not as aggressive as I expected. Some ginger snap cookie dipped in caramel. The taste has a bit more personality. Sharp ginger. Plenty of cinnamon. Chocolate malt, brown bread. Medium body, very active carbonation. Tolerable as a 4oz pour. I feel sorry for people that ordered this by the pint. MadRobin (2989) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - FEB 27, 2014
On tap at Scion restaurant in Silver Spring, MD.
Opaque, black-brown with a khaki head and very good lacing.
Aroma of mild gingerbread, even milder cinnamon and roasted malt.
Taste of roasted malt, chocolate and mild coffee with cinnamon coming through on the back end.
Light/medium body and medium carbonation.
The cinnamon is a nice subtle touch, but unfortunately it is otherwise a very ordinary porter, which is a bit thin in all aspects for a porter.

Tulip glass, nice brown foam, black in color. Very mild cinnamon flavor is mixed in with chocolate and roasted malt. Finishes clean. Nice but not noteworthy. GenDV138 (7828) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - FEB 5, 2014
Draft at Frisco Taphouse poured into a standard pint glass. Pours black with a light tan head. Aromas of cinnamon and licorice mainly. Tastes of big licorice, light cinnamon, spices, anise, light roast. Medium light body with a semi-dry finish. Too much licorice flavor for my liking.

dark ruby brown with dark tan head. Rich malty nose. Little in the way of flavour, full bodies, no spice, disappointing.
Sampled on draft at CAH downtown. Very dark brown pour with thick pillowtop tan head. Cinnamon and gingerbread nose. Flavor is not quite as enjoyable. The cinnamon is still present, but it is more abrasive to the cocoa and ginger flavors. It doesn’t meld that well. Not horrible, but It’s too disconjointed. Could have been much better. This one poured a pretty dark brown with a beige head. Aroam was of cinnamon, roast, and chesse. Flavor was cinnamon upfront, light roast, and a very strange lactic cheese taste. Think this might be infecto! snoworsummer (6273) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Draft at the brewery. Pours dark chocolate brown with a thin, fizzy tan head and some lacing. Tastes dry, spiced, cool, dark cocoa, and coffer flavor, like burnt toast. Light body/medium and carbonation. Smells like dark chocolate and cinnamon. sonnycheeba (6539) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 25, 2014
