Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium amber brown with a large (2-3 fingers) rocky light tan head that lasted a little while leaving behind some puddled residue floating on top thus producing excellent lacing that really stuck to the glass. The aroma was strong of a toasted biscuit malt, a nice piney hop and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and dried dark fruit. It tasted malty-sweet with a hint of caramel at first and mildly bitter from the hops at the finish with a touch of dried fruit at the end with the flavor lasting a really nice long time after the swallow. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and a little dry in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall a very impressive brew for this style, a perfect blending of flavors with a nice mild hop finish.

(Flying Dog Dogtoberfest) Bottle 355ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.6% Deep amber to light brown colour on the body, crystal clear, small and thin light beige head on top, low retention. Aroma of caramel, spices toffee. Taste of malts, toffee, caramel, light straw, spices, mildly bitter finish and aftertaste. Medium thin body, carbonation on good levels. Not bad at all.

Clear dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has caramel, burnt sugar and some dried dates. Taste starts slightly sweet with caramelized sugar and some generic dried fruits. Finish is balanced out by some earthy bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall it’s a nice beer, not a classic marzen, and I like that.

Pours from bottle a beautiful copper color with a quickly disappearing head. A sweet malty nose and coffee, toffee, toast, caramel are what I get. A minimal background of hoppiness. A sweet and round palate with a fine finish. The sweetness is not something I am too fond of in a beer, but this is quite enjoyable and I could really pair this with a Polish or German sausage sandwich and feel quite happy indeed.

Bottle. Pours deep copper with a thin light beige head that dissipates quickly. Nose of bread crust, caramel, and some spiciness. Bready malt with caramel and spicy bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. Playing Electronic Super Joy. Full of biscuit notes. Not as refreshing as typical german marzens but thicker and very pleasant too.

Piękny bursztynowy kolor z drobnopęcherzykową pianką. Pachnie słodowo owocowo. Czuć też nuty chlebowe. W smaku piwo słodkie, przypomina landrynke. Smakuje również rodzynkow chlebowo. Piwo bardzo przyjemne i bardzo pijalne.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel and bread.

Hazy/turbid dark orange/brown beer with a slight/medium

Starts slightly/medium sweet with malts and caramel; ends slightly dry with bread.

This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Only has malt flavours, which makes it very simple. Not my type of beer at all. At least the appearance is great.
