Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

Ultra potente. Todo un copazo

Pours a reddish amber with thick, frothy off-white head. Strong malt and caramel on the nose. The flavors come out immediately: huge malty sweetness on the tongue followed by hoppy bitterness. Big bodied ale, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. This thing is a whopper. Delicious.

Orange / brown with a small white head. Oily body, on the thicker side of medium. Tangerine, citrus, grapefruit and pine on the nose. Fruits give a fresh kick start to the taste, with a toffee middle and a brief bit of sweetness before a final bitter mouthwash.

Savage_Night (434) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 26, 2015
Pours light brown/red wine h a nice white head. Head retention is ok. Aroma of big hop bitterness, citrus, slight fruit and slight pepper. Big hoppy bitterness along with pepper, pineapple, caramel, herbal and floral flavors. Great hop bitterness but not so much that it destroys your palate.

odinstyr (796) - Hamilton, New Jersey, USA - APR 26, 2015
Pours a clear orange-red with a good off-white head. Smells of pine and citrus, with a hint of wheat bread. Taste is sweet and bitter - initial malt followed by a spruce, floral and citrus mix of hops.

When it’s fresh this beer is really rough around the edges and is a little cloying. I’ve had this particular bottle since late December and so I’m going to see if the time does this any favors. Orange-red color with not much head or visible carbonation. Aroma is rich caramel toffee and syrupy citrus. Taste is smooth and rich with lots of caramel and stone fruit flavor. Some citrus flavor but a little stale, lots of alcohol heat in the finish. Aging this beer a bit seems to improve it, if only a little bit.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/22/2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine resin, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine resin, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of huge citrus/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, resinous sticky, and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with a small warming lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

cracking beer with massive opulent body and heaps of raisiny, piney stewed fruit aromas. the spicy finish masks the massive alcohol levels well. balanced, complex and long
