12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/22/2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine resin, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, raisin, orange peel, citrus rind, pine resin, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of huge citrus/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, resinous sticky, and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with a small warming lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

cracking beer with massive opulent body and heaps of raisiny, piney stewed fruit aromas. the spicy finish masks the massive alcohol levels well. balanced, complex and long

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aroma is sweet caramel and citrus with a light wood and resin compliment. The beer is a clear, deep caramel amber hue with a big, foamy, dense white head that reduces down to a medium thin ring with a filmy surface and leaves an abundant, runny and streaky lace. The beer is highly waxy bitter with a medium high caramel sweet. Its thick on the tongue with a slick quality to it. A fizzy and fuzzy carbonation help the medium full body go down. The palate is initially struck with a strong bitter citrus with a woody quality. Some toffee appears underneath that. The finish is crisp with bittersweet citrus and pine cleanliness that turns to a burnt character with a hint of waxy cheese rind. The aftertaste is strong and lightly cloying with wax and resin, but doesnt last too long.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2015 This is a power house! I got through 4 of these last night and had to hang it up, then had 2 more today. Its not fancy or glamorous, just really hardcore IPA. You should probably not buy this if you get hung up on specifics, because the buzz will hit you before you get to break it down. Great 2x IPA taste, high alcohol, and over all a great drinking experience!

Aromas of booze, caramel, pungent hop resin. Clear ruby with a mostly lasting off-white head. Sticky malt sweetness up front, boozy warmness, aggressive, bitter hops. Full bodied.

Bottle - hazy amber with slim white head. Rich aroma of caramel, malts, citrus hops, some dark fruits. Impressive taste of similar elements, full bodied, some alcohol warmth, but quite well hid. Nicely balanced, nice stuff.
