COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

From a bottle. Hazy gold with frothy white head. Lots of citrus and pine resin hop aroma. This is balanced with some raisin and caramel sweetness, substantial alcohol presence on the back end, some bitterness on the finish... I can see why it did well in Beer madness last year... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber in color. Very woodsy, dank , boozy aroma. Taste is about the same but is balanced well with lots of malts to make the 11.5% alcohol smoother. Try drinking 6 of there bad boys...

35,5cl Bottle. Appearance: A Medium sized off white head on top of a clear dark orange body, Aroma: Citrus, tanine, honey, herbal hops,resin, wood, toasted malts, solvents. Taste: light sweet, witha big bitterness, especially the finish, citrus,resin, tanine, light toasted malts, herbs, grains, barley. Finish is a big resiny bittereness, with some gentle but stingy alcohol.Aftertaste is a long resin bitterness with some sticky fruit. Low carbo, soft sticky mouthfeel, full body. IMHO a very well executed American strong ale, and not a double IPA.

Bottled, 355ml from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Amber with off white head. There are big, resinous, fruity hop notes from the off here, perhaps a touch of cough linctus and apricot, fiery alcohol notes but the sweeter notes overcome this. Mid roasted malts, quite smooth after 6 years of ageing. A big old beer for a Tuesday evenings cooking.

355ml bottle. Pours deep hazy orange. Caramel, orange, pepper, liquorice, grapefruit, very alcoholic finish. Strong bitterness. Big body. Big beer, and not bad.

I love the bold taste from the double ipa and the appearance is tempting with label ;

Better at cellar temp than out of fridge. Best if pulled from fridge & left out 30+ minutes before opening. Bottle lists as DIPA, but it's definitely a strong ale. Aroma is toffee & boozy. Nice mouthfeel, not creamy but not watery. Good strong ale flavor (would make a horrible DIPA), slightly medicinal-tasting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A lot of high test beers end up having a mad dog 20/20 aftertaste. This is by far the best beer I’ve tasted that’s over 9%. It does not taste like a 11.5% beer until you drink 2. Then you are quickly reminded to dial it back unless you want to find yourself streaking through town on a Sunday night.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with very small frothy whitish head, caramel malt aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet medium bitter caramel malt taste with some citrus flavor, thin body, long caramel bitter finish. Smooth and not too hoppy.
