Light straw, a bit hazy, small head. Intense hoppy tropical fruit aroma. Light body, light bitterness, a bit watery. Gentle bitter finish. Not bad for a session ipa.

Can from Tesco. Pours pale golden and clear with a soapy white head which quickly settles down thin but clings to the top of the drink and glass. Aroma is citrusy, mostly lemon and a touch of biscuit malt and grass, slightly soapy as well. Taste is clean, light to medium bitter and lightly sweet, enough malt to balance although the finish is a bit short. A touch watery on the palate but just carbonated enough. Not the best I have had of the style but I could easily get through a few of these in a sitting.

(355 ml can) Pours a crystal-clear straw-yellow beer, carbonated with both small and large bubbles, forming a large foamy white head. The aroma is citrusy: mostly lemon, with grapefruit, malt, and freshly-cut grass. Meanwhile, the beer is laden with soapy, funky, and metallic undertones. There’s some earthiness and pine sap towards the back end, but it lacks the satisfying, bitter finish of an IPA. Fizzy, light, and a little watery on the palate. Overall, not bad, but a little underwhelming.

Can, Tesco online. Light yellowish gold colour, thin white foam. Pleasant enough citrusy hops, medium bitterness, light slightly thin malts, clean. Does the job as a hoppy refresher, not the best I’ve had of the style though.

355ml can @ The Alb. Pours a hazy orange, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, lime, orange. Taste is bright, citrus-forward with some additional caramel and orange rind. Nice refresher to accompany my jerk chicken burger with Dave’s insanity sauce.
