Black with a large deep beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, dark chocolate and brett notes. Sour flavour with brett, hints of roasted malt and a dry finish. Finished sourish as well. Not bad. yespr (49173) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2009
33 cL bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and solid brett-ish with a smooth chocolate and roasted malt. Nicely roasted and with a smooth fruity brett note. Dry and smooth into the far finish. Nice one. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2009

Overall it was ok. Lighter in the mouth than expected for a stout. Nice flavoring of coffee, chocolate, dark malt with a good hop finish. slight metallic taste. Very drinkable, not as heavy as most beers this dark barleynhops (82) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Bottle: Pours a dark brownish black, with a thin tan head. Minor lacing around the rim. Smells like coffee, vanilla, and dark malts. Tastes of the same, but with more alcohol which eventually creeps up on you. Not a bad brew.

Beer has a bourbony taste and aroma with lots and lots of vanilla. Very enjoyable. One of the best beers I have ever had. Skeegle (566) - Maryland, USA - FEB 10, 2009
Super roasty and toasty in this one, and no carbonation. The 11% is gone. Not even mild, just gone. It tastes like a regular 5% porter, with many imperial stout characteristics. Tons and tons of vanilla, but I oddly liked it. Nice bourbony taste to it. This was the beer of the night for me, and the many flavors were a miasma of goodiness. Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells funky with some roasty undertones. Tastes of tarte funk, cherries, dry oak, roasted malt. Enjoyable. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Black in color with a wispy head. DCeep roasted malt nose. Good, deep, deep, toasty qaulities. Very complex on the tongue. Slight sour on the front of the tongue. No discernable alcohol. fordest (2469) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - APR 2, 2008
12 oz bottle brought home from the brewery. Not much head on this black beer, but Roasty and sour aromas were nice. Flavor was burnt malts and not much of the sour I was looking for. Dark fruits and dust on the finish. Pretty good.
