Golden pour, clear with nice one finger head. Grainy aroma and flavor with funkiness aplenty. Good style representation here. Solid effort. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2012
Bottle: Pour is orange/gold with a thick white foamy head.
aroma is malty, slightly grainy, biscuity, light fruit and earthiness to it. grassy hop.
Flavour has a light bready sweetness to it. mown hay/grassy hop presence and some tartness to the finish. Overall a very drinkable beer. Would go very well with many food pairings as I see they recomend. weihenweizen (3890) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - APR 4, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours hazy golden with big fluffy white head that dissapates a bit. A fair amount of lacing, medium body, well carbonated, and citrus aroma. Taste is light tart wheat citrus, some bread, with a dry finish. Refreshing. Scipio (1116) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Pours a hazy golden color with a full, frothy head. Aroma is rather faint. Notable is citrus and lemon. Taste is very dry and very carbonated. It as quite sweet as well. Citrus and fruity flavors are present. Overall, I thought this was pretty good. Thisis12ptfont (1199) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Aromas of bubbly citrus, lemon, vanilla and small fruit notes. Bright pale gold in color with a large foam head. Strong carbonation with citrussy flavors upfront with doughy, bready characteristics on the finish. Thin texture with a very subtle syrupy body. Overall, a strongly flavored brew with great drinkability. The carbonation is a little overbearing but nevertheless another good, cold one from Flying Dog.

I wanted to like this beer but I couldn’t. At first it’s bitter in a bad way and then it’s just meh after a few. LetsGoState (886) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Aroma is strongly wheat with a hint of citrus. Taste is plenty of wheat and spice with some citrus. Overall pretty good. SDalkoholic (2395) - Linda Vista, California, USA - MAR 20, 2012
Bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop: Poured a vibrant glowing yellow hue with a weak topping of head which quickly retreated. Nose is bold with a blend of German Hefeweizen and Belgian saison aroma that gives off a smell of fruit and spice such as banana, clove, and coriander. Drink is initially tart yet puckers up a soft kiss of sweetness but also does has a spicy profile that makes this an interesting beer recipe considering the other Biere De Garde styles I’ve had were boring and bland. Nice surprise by Flying Dog. brian60625 (746) - Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2012
I’m not familiar with this style, so pardon my blind enjoyment of it. This beer was good stuff. It was a sort of spicy hefeweizen, foggy blond in color and veggie-orange citrus flavor. Medium bodied and full flavored, this one mixes things up. It makes me want to try more biere de gardes. BeerKurve (520) - - MAR 6, 2012
Dark Orange and Hazy when poured. Smell is very malty and earthy with a few sour notes which come off as unpleasant. The taste however is much better with Sweet Banana, Cloves, and Malty flavors, it comes off tasting much like a Hefeweizen which I’m fine with. I liked this beer and I think it’s worth checking out
