Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in an English pint glass. The beer pours a straw-colored golden hue, with a moderate to high white head. The aroma shows fairly strong notes of Belgian esters, indicating the use of a Trappist or Abbey strain perhaps, rather than a saison or European ale strain. Tropical fruit, banana, some light phenolic notes. The esters are present, but slightly more muted in the palate, showing more hefeweizen character than abbey ale. Slightly herbal/earthy hops come through, showing a nice balance. The finish is quite dry, allowing the beer to be rather refreshing. Overall, perhaps not the most typical example of the style, but still enjoyable.
Så kom jeg til en fransk landøl, ja en amerikansk version. Den belgisk/franske øl er meget sødlig og frugtagtig, den smager af hvad jeg tror der er gæren, rigtig god! MarkSachon (1010) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2015

cloudy gold color with a thick white head; spicy aroma; a well balanced French farmhouse style ale with fruit and spice notes and a sweet malt background slowrunner77 (11911) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
"what’s with the low scores? i thought this was a nice, light but flavorful farmhouse ale. a little sweet, fruit, spicy dry yeast, with a nice body. " thrashers2x (46) - Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Very hazy, golden. Not much of a hop aroma ...or flavor for that matter. Sweet but not overpowering.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, Gewürze, getreidig. Geschmack getreidig süß, leicht fruchtig, Gewürze, leicht alkoholisch. deanso (10070) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAY 1, 2014
Hazy golden blond pour. Thin head. A little bitter. Some fruity sweetness. Ok. hotstuff (5140) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 11, 2013
Rated on 4-28-2009 (Bottle) When poured, this beer presents a small head with good retention, transparent yellow body, visible carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is malty, spice notes, crisp, hops, sweet, and fruity. The Taste echoes the Aroma along with tasting somewhat dry. The Palate is fizzy and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is relatively easy to drink and is refreshing in its own way. This is a beer that did not have that WOW factor for me and therefore not a beer I will drink again. A little out of season but here goes... Pours a clear (unless you select to include the slight amount of yeast sediment available) golden yellow, effervescent, and a substantial, cream colored head which subsides but doesn’t disappear. Aroma is faint, bread/yeast, earthy with a hint of grapefruit/citrus. Flavor is mostly malty, with a nod towards sweet and and edge of dry hops. Medium to light body, nice lingering flavors. Overall, this beer fits my general tendancies towards a maltier brew. I could easily make this a regular. BeerFlavoredBeer (254) - New Hampshire, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Refreshing with a long, slightly warming finish. Good choice for warm weather.
