“Garde Dog” Biere de Garde is unfiltered with a hazy, deep golden to light copper appearance. Brewed with domestically grown French Hops and German Pilsner Malts, it gives craft beer drinkers a very enjoyable, light-bodied, subtlety sweet beer with toasty malt undertones. Garde Dog is the perfect compleiment to lighter fare such as seafood, salads, cheese and Middle Eastern and Indian foods

Så kom jeg til en fransk landøl, ja en amerikansk version. Den belgisk/franske øl er meget sødlig og frugtagtig, den smager af hvad jeg tror der er gæren, rigtig god!

cloudy gold color with a thick white head; spicy aroma; a well balanced French farmhouse style ale with fruit and spice notes and a sweet malt background

"what’s with the low scores? i thought this was a nice, light but flavorful farmhouse ale. a little sweet, fruit, spicy dry yeast, with a nice body. "

Very hazy, golden. Not much of a hop aroma ...or flavor for that matter. Sweet but not overpowering.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, Gewürze, getreidig. Geschmack getreidig süß, leicht fruchtig, Gewürze, leicht alkoholisch.

Rated on 4-28-2009 (Bottle) When poured, this beer presents a small head with good retention, transparent yellow body, visible carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is malty, spice notes, crisp, hops, sweet, and fruity. The Taste echoes the Aroma along with tasting somewhat dry. The Palate is fizzy and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is relatively easy to drink and is refreshing in its own way. This is a beer that did not have that WOW factor for me and therefore not a beer I will drink again.

A little out of season but here goes... Pours a clear (unless you select to include the slight amount of yeast sediment available) golden yellow, effervescent, and a substantial, cream colored head which subsides but doesn’t disappear. Aroma is faint, bread/yeast, earthy with a hint of grapefruit/citrus. Flavor is mostly malty, with a nod towards sweet and and edge of dry hops. Medium to light body, nice lingering flavors. Overall, this beer fits my general tendancies towards a maltier brew. I could easily make this a regular.

Refreshing with a long, slightly warming finish. Good choice for warm weather.
