COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hunter S. Thompson...Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 9.2% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don’t show it the proper respect. IBU’s: 85

12 oz bottle. Pours Dark with a large cola colored head. Aroma is sweet, dark fruit, and roasted chocolate malts. The flavor is exceptionally smooth, sweet, fruit, chocolate, some roast, and a hoppy bitter finish. Excellent body, Great brew.

Black pour with small tan head. Aroma is powerful with coffee and roasted malts. Taste is similar with intense coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate with a warming whack of alcohol at the end. Heavy body.

Bottle, dontcha know. Poured black like a doll’s eye, except this doll also wore a foamy brown hat that quickly faded into nothingness, a reminder of the ephemeral nature of things. Flavors came out of the darkness - coffee, bittersweet chocolate, more hops than we were prepared for. Boozy finish. The body was more stout than porter - thick and substantial. A sipper, no doubt, but one worth the time.

12 oz bottle. Had this before, but having it again to rate it. Pours about a finger-high tan head, that dissipates after a minute or so. Smells of malt and roasted coffee (my favorite). Has a motor oil black color, but a lesser consistency than motor oil. Tastes mostly like roasted coffee, but has a smooth chocolate finish. Very good porter, probably one of the best I’ve had (though I have had very few imperial porters).

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2017 Birra dal colore nero. Schiuma marrone, fine e persistente.

Średnio wysycone i gęste.

Black with a small offwhite head. Smells of roasted malts and smoke with some fruit to it. Taste is of roasted smokeiness as well with some caramel to it. Thick and mouth coating as it goes down and a nice long lasting smokey flavor in the mouth. Love the quote "Good People, Drink Good Beer."

Deep soy-sauce color with a quickly dissipating thin ecru head. Nose is of roasted malt, hops, and chocolate. Good mouthfeel, just a little thin. Chocolate and malt goodness. Finishes a little bitter. Just doesn’t compete well with other imperials out there.
