COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hunter S. Thompson...Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 9.2% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don’t show it the proper respect. IBU’s: 85

A nice very dark brown almost black beer with about 3 fingers of head, brown sugar in color in a tulip glass. Aroma had a nice light aroma to it with some sweet chocolate followed by a perfect hop aroma, from the west coast with that hint of pineapple.!! Taste is pure sweet chocolate up front followed by just a little heat of the alcohol, not at all bad for a 9.2 abv. I think the abv kills off most of the IBUs as I can’t taste much of the hop that has been added to this beer but at the same time the hops hides most of this 9+abv. Mouthfeel has a bit much carbonation but as it sits it improves much in this regard. This is a porter that will be nice and sweet in about 3 years out of the cellar...

Full-bodied and creamy. Assertively hopped; Leans more towards an Imperial black IPA than a porter. Strong notes of dark chocolate and strong black coffee. Complex with a peppery finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caramel and toasty notes with hop aroma in the background. Caramel, dry fruits with rather high bitterness. Intense in all aspects but somehow everything comes together.

Una de las cervezas que más me marcaron en su día de la cervecera. Bastante potente en todos los aspectos valorables de la misma.

Bottle from 100 piv. Aroma of plums, malt, alcohol and lot of chocolate. Dark color with brown shades, small creamy head. Tasty and creamy beer, taste of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, citrus, and long bitterness. Full body.

Bottle. One the best porters ever. Thick and bitter, slightly sweet and a loooooong aftertaste.

bardzo mile piwko, w aromacie czekolada, kakao, lesne owoce typu borowka, jagoda, w smaku delikatna slodycz skontrowana goryczka, alkohol mile rozgrzewa. lubie

PREZENTACJA: czarne z obfitą sztywną pianą, która opada do kożuszka z kołnierzem, bujnie oblepiając przy tym ściankę (podczas picia koronka już nie jest tak efektowna);
AROMAT: sos sojowy, wędzona czekolada, pianka cukrowa, karmel, po zabełtaniu czuć kalafiora;
ODCZUCIE: ciało wysokie ku średniemu, nisko nasycone, wyraźnie zaklejające;
SMAK: lekko kwaśny i słonawy - espresso, czekolada deserowa muśnięta cukrową pianką lub słodkim karmelem, średnia krótka karobowa goryczka;
