Sampled at the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild 2008 Strong Beer Fest, on February 17, at the Mesa Amphitheatre. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - FEB 8, 2008
Clear light amber with a fleeting head. A malty bready smell is faintly sweet. Med bodied with a smooth texture. A mild, but nice nutty malty flavor here with a mildly bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but weak for a bock. 62406 StFun (567) - Indiana, USA - FEB 3, 2008
Pours an orangish color. Watery, with diluted hops and citrus flavor. Not very interesting. Emphasis seemed to be on the hops, which goes against what a Bock should be. Seems more like a weak IPA. Pass on this one. AR (1000) - Georgia, USA - FEB 1, 2008
Amber color. Not much special but it is an OK beer. A sweet flavor of mild yeast and hops. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2008
[988-20071215] 355mL (c/o DuctTape, w/ him, jerc). Doughy yeast aroma seems kind of mouldy. Hazy, orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Mild grains and hops and a hint of grass in the flavour. Medium body is watery. Uninteresting.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thin, dense off-white head that lasted until about midway and lightly coated the glass. Sort of a strange aroma for a bock with only a hint of malt detected with some grassy hops. The flavor is similar with only a little bit of malt along with some grassy hops. Weak finish with a watery mouthfeel. Disappointing. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2008
Bottle, pours dark orange with a small off white head. Attack is weak but non-offensive, finishes nice with malts and a pleasing bitterness. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 19, 2007
Bottle. Orangey yellow body with a small white head. Odd fruity grainy aroma. Watery flavour, dilute fruity washed out grains. Average to thin palate. Pretty disappointing. gwpom (297) - Akron, New York, USA - NOV 24, 2007
12 oz bottle thanks to beerlord. Copper color, creamy head, seemed to me a lot like a pale ale. Nice beer. RblWthACoz (964) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2007
Pours a clear amber. No head really. Nose is sugary like the frosting to a cake, but fruity. Flavor is kind of odd. Sweet but with a weird bitter edge to it. Kind of seems rough around the edges. Feel is good on the liquid with a strong bubble that bites a bit. Overall I can’t say this one is overly worth trying. Rough around the edges and lacking any smooth edge to it. Seems like a miss to me and definitely stands as one of my least favorite Flying Dogs to date.
