There is a nice deep amber color, almost ruby, and a creamy white head that does not persist, but you wouldn’t expect it to with such a big beer. A floral hop aroma is noticeable, as well as a sweet malt and ’clementine’ undertones. The taste is silky smooth. Some alcohol warmth is perceptive in my throat. It is medium to full bodied, which is very welcome for such a big beer. There is this piney or citusy aftertaste. As I drink more and it is warming up the sweet malt and caramel are coming out more making me perceive it as sweeter and becoming out of balance. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2011
Cask, Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Murky bronze colour with a thin off white bubbly head. Whilst having abundant hoppage in the nose and flavour, I picked up some big clove/spice notes also that lingered well into the finish. Sweet chewy malts offered some balance to proceedings. A big and tasty IPA. Nice one. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 5, 2011
On tap at Beer Temple. Prepared by the brewer while in the Netherlands. A really nice IPA with a hazy citrus body and nice head. Nose quite hoppy. Nice crisp taste of plenty of hops and citrus. Lots of malts in there as well. The hops are thorough and quite enjoyable blend.
