Pours hazy gold with a nice tight head, which dissipates while lacing nicely.
Nose is the unsurprisingly citrus character of the feature hops with mango and hints of pineapple.
Medium body with great effervescence. Plenty of malty sweetness to keep the hops from being overly heavy handed while keeping them as the feature in this straightforwardly pleasant brew.
Finished with mild bitterness.

Rich, slightly hazy copper and blonde tinted amber coloured body with a single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of strong alcohol, hops, pine, resin, malt with hints of some tropical fruit and pineapples. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich flavour of malt and honey up front with a large hop presence and some definite resinous and piney notes to show the character along with some of the lemongrass, sage and pineapple elements as well. Aftertaste is super pungent with a lot of alcohol, a strong malt body with a good hop balance and still some sugars that balance everything out nicely. Overall, a nice imperial IPA, but nothing special - still a touch rough around the edges and showing some good balances, but still on the pungent end of things, especially with the alcohol burn. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Tyson’s Corner (Falls Church), Virginia on 10-July-2014 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-October-2014. Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with an almost orange like hue. Upon pouring there was a two finger white head that faded relatively fast to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma was bready and malty with a moderate hop punch of a citrus, pine, and earthy smells. Mixed with these aromas are some sweeter aromas of a fruity nature, being largely of tropical fruits as well as some honeydew.
Taste –The taste begins with a biscuit malt taste and a bit of caramel sweetness. There is a nice moderate amount of a citrus hop right up front with a little bit of pine hop flavor as well. As the flavor advances flavors of a tropical fruit and some flavors of melon come to the tongue. Soon the citrus hop seems to fade while the pine hop flavor gets stronger. At the same time so too comes some earthy and herbal hop tastes. The sweeter caramel fades from the tongue while the other hop flavors grow slightly more intense in the end, leaving a moderately bitter hopped but somewhat smooth flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew was on the slightly chewier and thicker side with a carbonation level that was a little on the lower side. The thicker body and lower carbonation took nothing from the flavors and helped to create a nice base for the malty flavors as well as more earthy, pine and herbal flavors to really stand on.
Overall- A rather tasty double and quite distinct from their other single hop variety I had by them (El dorado). A very clean drinking and nicely hop balanced brew. Bryanvdv (524) - - SEP 4, 2014
Goudgeel licht troebel bier. Aroma is hop, citrus. Smaak is licht bitter, frisse afdronk. Blijft mooi hangen. douglas88 (9058) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 26, 2014
On tap at Mad Mex. Pours a clear orange color with a small white head. A big fruity citra nose. The flavor is super clean, sweet oranges, light bitterness, a resinous hop base. Very flavorful and easy drinking despite the ABV. Solid.

On tap at Brunzies. Tropical fruit and apricots, sticky sweet nose, very nice hop aromas. Medium golden clear with off-white creamy lacing head. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Starts and stays sweet with light alcohol. Huge tropical fruit flavor, apricot and syrupy sweet notes. Big bitter finish that disappears and leaves sticky sweet, somewhat water after. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - AUG 4, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours a deep dark gold with a medium off white head. Aroma of faint orange, grapefruit, Citra hops and light pine. Taste of Citra hops, orange, perfume and light pine. Dorwart (2585) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Decent sized offwhite head of fine bubbles with light carbonation. Excellent hoppy aroma with lots of ripe citrus fruit (ugly fruit) and a hint of cat urine. Color is a hazy orange. Powerful hops presence with lots more citrus, bitter grapefruit pith, a bit of spicy peppers and some fresh herbs. Lingering dry bitterness. Mild alcohol presence and warming for a 10% brew. Body is a bit thin and could use a bit more balance. A solid IIPA though. Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 26, 2014
A lightly hazed golden amber dipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice grassy biscuit malt with good citrusy and floral hops. In mouth, a nice fruity biscuit malt with good citrus pulp, floral resinous hops, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Bacon and beer Classic. Braudog (6675) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Bottle. Golden-amber with an average topping of foam. This is a really nice mandarin orange - citrusy beer. It stings the palate just a bit from sip one. It does add a bit of a dirty undertow. Very good. (#5589, 7/25/2014)
