One of the best IPA’s I’ve ever had the chance to try from this hops variety. Very nice long finish with beautiful tastes of citra throughout. I’m happy to say I was able to share this one amongst my closest of friends. I hope they can make this more regularly but only time will tell. Cheers! My first perfect rated beer. Citra, citra, citra hops. This bitter, tropical, citrusy hops overpowers majority of malt presence, and the alcohol. Especially on the long citrus finish. Forget even pliney... I think this will join my top 3... And I don’t even like flying dog brews in general !! Cheers- FROTHINGSLOSH (7670) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong pine and resin. The flavor was sweet and tangy pine, resin, a bit of catbox and had a sour off presence. Medium length tangy pine, resin and catbox finish. Moderately full bodied. On cask at North Bar Leeds, very solid malty backbone here, I get caramel, toffee and butterscotch, with the citra hop well balanced but very fruity with juicy pineapple and grapefruit coming through. A really good, well balanced strong Double IPA. Top stuff Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2013
Bottle at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Clear golden beer with a creamy offwhite head. Malty, hoppy, caramell, citrus aroma. Hoppy, nice bitterness, grassy and citrus flavour. A lovely refreshing beer :-)

Bright citrus hop aroma. Potent bitterness with a pleasant malt richness to bring balance. Very nice overall. Lengthy hoppy finish. conway (2210) - - JUL 20, 2013
Draft. Clear copper with little head. Nose a big citrus burst with a hint of bitterness and pine. Taste follows suit but has a strong sweet malt backbone. Medium mouthfeel with solid carb.

Appearance: Pours a shiny amber gold with a white head that subsides to a mere ring around the edges.The_Osprey (7881) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2013
Aroma: Tangerine and pineapple fruitiness. Equal amounts of sweet, caramel like malt.
Taste: Upfront citrus fruit, a quick yet punctuated hop bite, sweet and toasty malt. Finishes fruity with a touch of alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, average carbonation.
Overall: I’d like to point out that all throughout this single hop series, that Flying Dog has been consistant with the base beer carrying the single hop. Pretty enjoyable and very balanced.
Pint from the Draft House (keg), drank it in the sun watching Murray win Wimbledon. Clear orange, white head and lacing, mid carbonation. Smells of tomato and fried onion, with citrus notes maybe. Taste is grapefruit up front, floral, no trace of the alcohol at all. Resin finish. Not bad. kwik-lime (1915) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2013
Really strong citrus character, well-hopped with a sweet finish. Had absolutely no idea this was 10%, very well-disguised for the strength. Lovely IPA.
