COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While that damn Dionysus was taking all the glory, Simcoe, Greek God of Beer and Relaxation, was out, diligently developing tools for man to brew- fresh grain and hops, active yeast, and bountiful water. With its golden glow and sharp hop bite, our Imperial Single Hop IPA is a tribute to this lesser-known God (and as temple-worthy as its namesake).

On tap at Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring, MD. Clear, bright amber with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, apricot, mango, papaya and tangerine. Taste of orange, tangerine, papaya, pineapple, tropical fruit and sweet fruity malt. Medium body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at Sharp Edge Brasserie. Poured hazy orange with some solid lacing. Pine and citrus, bitter finish. ABV unnoticeable. Solid but not worth seeking out.

Poured into tulip glass. Very good double IPA. Nice pale color with minimal head. Bold hoppy flavor. Wife hated it.

Really excellent double IPA with a really nice white head that lasts and nice golden color. Wonderful aromatic hops. One of the best.

A great surprise from this brewer! Aroma was nice and dank. Lemon, cat and sticky sweet malt with just a hint of pine. Pour was a nice medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was so bitter it was almost sour. Strong dank catty hops with a thick sticky malt backbone. Pine sap and mild alcohol burn. Hot and sticky, this beer is a chore to finish and that’s in a good way. Nice carbonation.

From a bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a thin fizzy white head. Tastes hoppy, very strongly of pine and grapefruit, very musky. Dry feel. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells sweet, like citrus and hemp.

Bottle. Pours clear, bright amber with creamy white head. Aroma is spicy and floral hops, biscuit and cereal malts, citrus fruit, and some floral notes. Flavor is dry biscuit malt base with sharp grassy hop bitterness, grapefruit esters, faint woody, lemon zest, and some spiciness; dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation.

jsmerig (1589) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Pours a clear reddish golden yellow with active carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of banana and pine. Taste is sweet up front followed by a banana sweetness mixed with a large emergence of hops that lasts stiffly through the finish. Interesting for an imperial. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Perfect Pour. Pours yellow with an inch of white foam. Leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Has a bit of citrus on the nose. A lot of grapefruit in the tongue. Hides it alcohol well. Finishes with a lot of bitterness. Eh!
