from Amstein - murky dark orange beer with a poor foam left; aroma of cardamom, bitter oranges and grapefruit; full-bodied, assertive and juicy palate; bitter and sourish; quite dry and long fruity hoppy finish with lingering spicy tones eduardovl (1482) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 14, 2014

Bottle in the Town Street Tavern. Deep golden with some thin white froth. Hoppy apricot notes with citrus. Some good malty notes plus yeast in the background. Tasty stuff. slowrunner77 (13004) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Very yeasty. So much so (&without much in the way of wilder qualities) I’d have thought this a belgian iPa before Saison. That being said, it’s one of the better beers I’ve had from them. Dry, fruity, spicy. Adequately hoppy and just a touch of farmhouse Bretty funk. Finishes nice."

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Served a golden yellow colored brew with a big thick and billowy white head. The head fades slowly over time to give a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a hay like and slightly funky aroma. Mixed with these are some smells of a bready malt as well as a herbal and citrus grapefruit hop aroma mixed with some sweeter tangerine and spice notes of clove and coriander as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with a slightly citrus sweet flavor of tangerine and some caramel. As the flavor advances some flavors of yeast and spice flavors of clove as well as some orange and grapefruit citrus come to the tongue. Toward the end of the taste, the flavor takes on some stronger flavors of a haylike and grassy taste as well as a more funky like flavor of the “farmhouse” variety. The flavors at the end, all combine to leave a nicely hopped, and rather funked and slightly bitter malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the slightly above average side. The thickness was nice for the more grassy, hay, and yeasty characteristics of the beer while not being too light for the malt backbone and the abv for the brew. The carbonation was quite nice for the funky flavors as well and made for a rather nice drinker overall.
Overall – A rather pleasant drinking Farmhouse IPA. It had a nice blend of the funk and hop to make for a good and tasty drinking brew.
A főzetben a komló trópusi gyümölcsös, citrusos, grapefruitos jellege viszi a prímet, amihez a saison fanyarul élesztős, metszően éles jellegének hangsúlyos karaktere csatlakozik. Üde jellege már az illatában is megmutatkozik, mely frissen nyírt fű, friss széna aromáját idézi, annak ellenére is, hogy a kóstolás pillanatában is erős megfázással küszködök. Ennek megfelelően nem kifejezetten a téli hónapok itala, gazdagsága azonban könnyedén előtérbe helyezhető szomjoltó jellegével szemben. BeerdedDave (1903) - Beckley, USA - JUL 27, 2014
cloudy gold color with ahuge head - over carbonated and very foamy; spicy, citrusy hop aroma; nice citrusy hop flavor with mild Belgian yeast and spice notes; at 7.5% it is fairly light and easy drinking jmgreenuk (10147) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JUL 22, 2014
Bottle from De Molen bottle shop. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast and more yeast. The flavour is strong bitter with a big cringeworthy resin, floor cleaner, glue malt, yeast palate and a long bitter finish. I’ve never tasted anything quite like this before and i’m not sure I want to again. The best thing about this beer was the label! Didn’t get the citra at all and the saison yeast completely dominates. vtafro (7444) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 13, 2014
(Backlog) cork aged, impossible to open bottle. Hazy pour with tan head, amazed there’s no cork in the pour. Light grassy, citrus and herbal aromas. Light saison yeast, floral and citrus tones.
