Pours an unclear yellow colour with a white head. Aroma of citrus, brett and some strong caramel. Flavour of strong citrus. bitter floral hops, brett, dry hay and alcohol. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a sharp, warming bitter finish. Strong and refreshing. Well done.
Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Spice and light citrus aroma. Spice and citrus flavor with light yeast. Medium bodied. Spice and light citrus lingers with light yeast. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2012
has more foam than taste. Why is IPA in the name of the beer? Does not have a hop flavor, Did Flying Dog add hops to their beer? Overall, an ok saison. daniele (9219) - ITALY - JUN 15, 2012

Tap - average size thick head, light copper color, hoppy Belgian yeasty aroma and flavor, as the name indicates, like a hopped up saison

Bottle. Clear rich yellow to light amber pour with a monster of a white head. Very interesting balance of a citrus-based IPA and funky saison. Sharp bitterness late in this one. The_Bish (1123) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2012
Dry and refreshing, not sure how that works, but it does. Good with a summer risotto FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow-golden color with a large foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was funky citrus, catbox, lemon, chalk and an off tart undertone. The flavor was funky, dry and musty with some horseblanket, tart citrus and chalk. The finish was very long, dry and musty with funk and horseblanket lingering. Medium body. Odd. RyanK (275) - Rhode Island, USA - JUN 10, 2012
People weren’t kidding about the foam on this beer I poured a little past the label and the glass is about to over flow with white foam. Slow to dissipate, appears in large bubbles on the side of the glass. Smells strongly of spices, cloves, and Belgian yeast. Cloudy, light yellow/orange appearance. The yeast is particularly strong in the taste. The spices and cloves are pretty light and balanced by the hops. Taste of orange peel is prominent throughout the experience. Finishes bitter and dry, eliminating the first taste that hit your palate. Interesting brew with a lot of complexity, I’m sure others may taste some different elements. Not exactly my style but I’m still drinking it trying to figure it all out which I’m digging. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2012
(bottle) Pours a hazy and dirty light yellow color with a massive white head that takes awhile to settle and leaves a sheet of lacing. Aroma initially smells like Spaghetti-o’s, light Feta funk, and cracked pepper. Utterly odd. Further scents of dried apricots, orange zest, and bread dough bring things back to normalcy, although Chef Boyardee continually flits into scene. The flavor begins with a strong pale malt sweetness that yields to orange marmalade and apricot preserves. Mid palate contains some crackery quality which is accompanied by spice. The finish gets to be a bit much with the bitterness, as the hops come off as being really soapy, and that flavor lingers for far too long. Moutfheel is medium and carbonation is lively. This is a pretty unpleasant beer all around.
