355ml bottle. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is sweet, basil, herbs, sour wheat, slightly floral. Taste is floral and perfumed to start. Strong bitter sweet finish. Different and works.

Bottle with the Pipeworks guys. Surprised by this one. Pours a nice looking deep gold with a persistent white head. Nose is softly Belgian and fruity, passionfruit and mangoes. Really nice nose on this one, though not a saison. On tasting, medium bitterness, crisp and dry. Juicy fruits permeate, along with some soft white pepper. Clean and fresh, this is a really really good beer. Just not a saison.

Bottled. Poured very bright golden with a towering, sticky white head. The aroma picked up cloves, orange peel, and assorted white spices over some pale malts.. strangely intriguing. The flavor found light fruit and crisp bready malt at the core, with bitter orange peel, cloves, and grains of paradise around.. more tasty Citra on the dry, refreshing finish. Lighter-bodied, but filling due to high carbonation on the palate.. this was strange, but overall I enjoyed it.

Complex aromas of coriander, yeast, wheat, and citrus. Pours a casual light yellow collor with a massive white foam at the top. Taste is bitter like an ipa but, citrusy and coriander flavored like a saison. Recognizable carbination and very thin body with a yeast filled finish. Overall, this is definitely an interesting concoction from Flying Dog. Lots of smooth flavoring combined with nice bittering hops. I’d give this an A rating.

In bottle, bought from Stirchley Wines in May 2012. Aroma very Belgian, with yeastiness and candi sugar, lifted slightly by the hops. Taste shows up that expected tartness from the saison style, but with bags of lemony citrus notes making it very refreshing. Finish is clean and quite dry, not as sweet as the initial aroma would indicate. was surprised to read it was hopped with Citra as this wasn’t coming out much in the flavour, but on reflection it may have been a clever use of the hop so that it brings out the citrus flavour without dominating. Very refreshing and great for the hot weather.

This poured a cloudy medium yellow color with a white head. Aroma was lots and lots of spice and yeast notes, and some fruity hops in there too.

12oz bottle. Nice, mostly hazy yellow-orange color. Good, foamy white head, extends just over the top of the pint glass. Nice, soft refreshing sort of carbonation, very farmhouse-style. Dry texture. Good lace. Nice, spicy hop taste, some belgian yeast in there. Maybe some pear and orange peel. Some zesty sweet taste. Very nice to enjoy with some morning salmon. Interesting and unique brew, pretty well done.

A nice a solid saison from this brewery. I gotta admit, I saw that Flying Dog did a saison and I wasn’t thrilled or expecting much, but they blew my socks off with this one. Aroma was decent. Classic saison smell. Slightly funky, cheese, light malt and dank hops. Pour was extremely clear for an unfiltered beer. Light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was nice and refreshing. Strong lemon, orange peel and a hint of coriander in the front. The finish leaves behind more funk and a slight sourness. Nice carbonation. Probably one of the best beers I’ve had from them. Great job and brewing a tough to nail style!

From bottle at Park Bruges. Witbier-Belgian ale nose with orange peel, light funk, and a bit of hop character. Bright amber clear with light haze, topped with fluffy-foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice hoppy Belgian ale notes with spice and a bit of funky character. Hoppy bitter finish and smooth after.

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of black pepper and pineapples, quite yeasty, with notes of mango, green asparagus, powdered sugar and banana. flavour is mostly the same, exotic fruits and yeasty pepperiness, slightly sweet, with a little too much caramel and some alcohol in the bitter finish. medium to heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.
