Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

I might be a bit biased because I am not a fan of wheat beers, but I don’t particularly enjoy the taste. Seems to be very watery.

Iznogud (4692) - CROATIA - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle 355 ml. Pours hazy golden with white head. Yeasty and malty. Doesn’t really taste like classic hefeweizen, lacks flavor and body.

Burgers (346) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 2, 2014
Hazy orange with little head. Aromas of mixed spice, hint of cinnamon, cereal. Taste slightly sweeter than bitter. Soft carbonation. Finish fairly short. Nothing special but one of Flying Dog’s better efforts.

Not much of a hefeweizen to be sure. Just a little grain and generally lager like. Pours cloudy orange. Light sour finish with a sense that tries hard to be at least citrusy but just isn’t. Bottle.

gegwilson (3827) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2014
Bottle from Vesuvio, Darlington. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Zesty and spicy a refreshing beer with notes of lemon and wheat and a dry finish. Nice but unspectacular.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2014 Bottle 33cl. Klub malých pivovarů. Pours a pale golden slightly unclear beer with white head. Aroma is wheat and banana. Weak hefeweizen.

allmyvinyl (11182) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 20, 2014
355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden orange with a light haze. No head despite high carbonation. Aromas of banana, clove, sugar. Taste has more generic spiciness and banana sweeties. Slightly astringent finish. OK, but prefer the authentic German Hefes.

Garrold (5838) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2014
Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, dark yellow. A few white bubbles on top. Wheat. Spice. Banana. Taste is light spicy. Light dry. Palate is a little thin. Soft carbonation. Finish is dry.
