COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Tap at Ginger Man, NYC. Pours a rich, hazy yellow with a fluffy, white head. Nose is big on banana and cloves, some bread. Flavor is quite fruity - banana, orange - and only a bit yeasty, bready. Mildly sweet. Medium-bodied and nicely carbonated. Crisp and refreshing. A good hefe.

Draught at Cockney Pub, Århus
Cloudy blond color. A refreshing wheat, with some fruitness, mild wheat character, some malt, light sweetness, almost missing the spices; but the final is very short. Not Wit, not Weisse, but pleasant.

Koelschtrinker (20591) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 25, 2011
Trinkbares Sommerweizen. 8/8/8/7/8/8

harrisoni (18815) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2008
Bottle from Utobeer. Cloudy orange gold with thin white head. Cereal, lemon, bit of spice on aromas. It’s alright, not very deep or intense. Lemon and hops on finish are decent. It’s alright, decent for the style. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing great. Hop/citrus finish is ok.

Very pale beige, opaque; very wheaty palate, lots of grapefruit, low phenols for the style; light body, sour, grapefruity finish. Different, and may not be to everyone’s taste, but I enjoyed its simple, citric, thirst-quenching properties.
