Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Slightly dusty wheat aroma with a lemon touch, and arguably yeast. Orange tinged hazy gold color with a rapidly depleting white head. Sort of ringed. Leaves lace tatters. Clove, banana, touch of lemon, and wheat. Pretty spicy. Near medium body and very mild carbonation. The banana sort of gets lost after a few swallows, and the finish is clove and light citrus. But banana tends to come back. Good wheat.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2010 [9/26/10] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, bubblegum, banana and a bit of apple notes. Sweetish fruity flavor with some yeast, some bubblegum hints and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Bottle. A milky amber color with medium frothy white head.Aroma had wheat tone with a small sour tone. The flavor was wheat and the sour aroma also added a sour finish. More spicy than most wheat beers and not as refreshing.

HenrikSoegaard (14704) - Randers, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2008
Draught at Cockney Pub US-festival. Creamy white fair mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Powerfull hefe aroma. Fat soapy fruity flavor. Ligth swet and bitter. Average finish. Oily palate. Strange powerfull but not balanced hefe.

Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 3, 2008
Bottle from Harris Teeter Charlottesville (sampler). Orange haze with no head. Aroma of bubblegum. Taste is a little yeast, a lot of bubblegum, some wheat. Forgettable but not too terribly offensive.

Dogbrick (14290) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 17, 2002
Fruity aroma, honey-colored. This was a little too sweet for my taste but it had a nice smoothness.
