Not bad, but there are better Winter Warmers out there. Apperance was nice, poured a reddish brown with a figer or so of foam. The head lasted for some time. Looked tasty Aroma, ale yeast was present, along with some fruit, cherry and current. Initially the taste is fruity with the cherry and current flavors coming through, a nice balanced hop flavor is clear throughout the taste (I would assume Northern Brewer or Bullion hops). The balance of the initial flavors is overshawdowed on the back in by strong ale yeast flavors. Mouthfeel is normal, and the drinkability is somewhat lower than expected. Avery Old Jubilation is a very similar beer in flavor, but much better in my opinion.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30C). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 12.10.17). AROMA: medium-high and predominant cardamom aroma with a slight cocoa note on the backgroud. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and clear with ruby body. medium beiuge head with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium predominant cardamom flavor, with a a medium-low roasted malt presence. medium to medium-low bitterness. finished almost dry and slightly bitter. PALATE: medium body with meidum carbonation. OVERALL: a nice winter ale where only the cardamom is perceptible.

Hazy ruby red to brown. Moderate off-white head. Good lacing. Loads of cinnamon, raisins, caramel. Light to medium body. Medium dry taste. Caramel malts. Some chocolate. Light bitter and spicy finish.

33 cl, bottle conditioned, BB Oct 12th 2017. Reddish dark brown, very thin head, nice level of carbonation, almost clear. Aroma is spicy, with some licorice notes. Mouthfeel is quite thick and dense, well carbonated and long lasting. Flavour follows the aroma somehow, nice cardemom spice, but more vanilla an cocoa coming through, and not so much licorice. And I like that.

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Pours brown with a beige head. Nose of licorice, cinnamon, black pepper, caramel, toffee. Flavours of cola, cinnamon, coriander, cardamom (or anything else beginning with ’c’!). Not bad.

December 2016 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Thanks Fergus! As ’Flying Dog K-9’. Dark amber orange, translucent with a foamy tan head. Aroma is very weird – burnt pizza, seared tomatoes, tomato crisps, spiced breadstick, cheesestick, cardboard. An interesting sniff experience. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy, dark chocolate and soil, quite dry into the finish. Points for being interesting! (3.0)

caramel, bread, cinnamon, cardamon, spices. Not bad as all. Winter Warmer :)

Decent winter sipper. Strong malty flavour with dried fruit, cherries and some spice - cinnamon. Fair backbone of hoppy bitterness but that’s underplayed. Not bad at all.
