A black beer with a beautiful, medium and brown head. Aroma is roasted, quite lot of sweetness, cheery berries, some coffee and vanilla, very tastefull aroma. Taste is smooth and malty, balanced roastiness, coffee. Medium+ bodied, velvety smooth to drink. Beautiful appearance, great aroma, simpler flavour, enjoyable drinkability creates the great beer! teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - MAY 4, 2012
33cl bottle. Pours a deep black color with a big brown head. Creamy and lasting foam. Doesn’t look thicky though. Aroma is roasted malts, metallic, slight coffee notes. Taste is pure coffee jiuce. Roasted malts, wood, smoke, and loads of coffee. Medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy, but not sticky, with soft/good carbonation. Overall, a fantastic coffe stout. Not really overpowering as an "imperial" should be. TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - MAY 4, 2012

En kraftig och krämig coffe stout. Smak av choklad, vanilj och espresso/kaffe. Mustig och len. Lagom söt och med en behaglig beska. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2012
(bottle, 35.5cl) Black coloured hue with a brown and firm medium-sized foamy head. Roast-malty aroma with distinctive notes of coffee/mocha, dark chocolate, liquorice, leather and a touch of marzipan. Moderately roast-bitter flavour with a balanced malty and alcoholic sweetness, full but not fat-bodied with a smooth carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly leathery taste with primary notes of coffee beans and dark chocolate, accompanied by spicy notes of anise and a very subtle fruity touch; roasty bitter, moderately sweet and minimally salty finish with an assertive aftertaste of choco-coffee and marzipan. Pleasant stuff but do not differ much from other good examples of the style, thus no extraordinary highlight. 01.V.12 LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 1, 2012
Pitch black with a brown head.
Aroma: coffee grounds, chocolate, brown sugar.
Taste: coffee dominates, also licorice, chocolate.
Quite full-bodied and thick.
Coffee all the way, which could be good or bad depending on what you want. Nice, but a bit more complexity would make it even better. tia (2221) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - APR 30, 2012
Tap @ Nest in Bethesda. A resounding meh. Wasn’t getting much out of the aroma. Kind of tinny and citrusy with a very faint hint at roastiness. Fairly dark brown with a tan head. Light on the flavor, too- not too sweet but not a lot of the roastiness, etc... that I like in a stout. Light can be good, but this just ended up coming across as a little thin and a little hard in the mouth.
