(bottle, 35.5cl) Black coloured hue with a brown and firm medium-sized foamy head. Roast-malty aroma with distinctive notes of coffee/mocha, dark chocolate, liquorice, leather and a touch of marzipan. Moderately roast-bitter flavour with a balanced malty and alcoholic sweetness, full but not fat-bodied with a smooth carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly leathery taste with primary notes of coffee beans and dark chocolate, accompanied by spicy notes of anise and a very subtle fruity touch; roasty bitter, moderately sweet and minimally salty finish with an assertive aftertaste of choco-coffee and marzipan. Pleasant stuff but do not differ much from other good examples of the style, thus no extraordinary highlight. 01.V.12 LoFi (1763) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 1, 2012
Pitch black with a brown head.
Aroma: coffee grounds, chocolate, brown sugar.
Taste: coffee dominates, also licorice, chocolate.
Quite full-bodied and thick.
Coffee all the way, which could be good or bad depending on what you want. Nice, but a bit more complexity would make it even better. tia (2228) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - APR 30, 2012
Tap @ Nest in Bethesda. A resounding meh. Wasn’t getting much out of the aroma. Kind of tinny and citrusy with a very faint hint at roastiness. Fairly dark brown with a tan head. Light on the flavor, too- not too sweet but not a lot of the roastiness, etc... that I like in a stout. Light can be good, but this just ended up coming across as a little thin and a little hard in the mouth. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 29, 2012
Big black pour, dark brown head. Chocolate covered espresso beans in the nose and carries through to the flavor. A bit of a bitter finish after sweet coffee goodness! Ahrens (41) - Lund, SWEDEN - APR 28, 2012
Nice stout with good coffee flavours. Nice aroma as well. One of my favourite coffee stouts.

Bottle from Systembolaget. A smell of coffee & chocolate. Very dark, but nice, appearance with a brown head. You can really taste the coffee with a hint of chocolate. A very good Coffee stout! vjohans (765) - SWEDEN - APR 28, 2012
Nico aroma an palete. Coffea, vanilla and a little bacon(?!). More bitternees and more espresso taste rather than this cappuchino kind of beer would have rased the rating. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2012
Bottle from Deeside Drink Emporium. It pours jet black, with a thin beige head. The nose is roasted malt, toasted coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate and espresso coffee. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, rich-roasted malt, toasted coconut, vanilla and bitter chocolate, with a dry finish. Full body, moderate carbonation and well hidden alcohol. Very drinkable for this style, well balanced and not at all cloying. Delicious. Neeskens (328) - SWEDEN - APR 27, 2012
Almost pitch black with a brown touch and a mocca head. There are a lot going on here, off course plenty of coffee, also dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, licorice and a soft feeling like someone pour soem double cream into the glass. A fairly rich acidity that disturbs a bit and it is not as full bodied as I like my Imperial Stouts. Balazs (787) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2012
On tap at Csakajósör. Deep brown, almost black, with a creamy beige foam. Strong coffee, burnt wood, hints of hot peppers, caramel, molasses in the aroma. Dense, oily, smooth on the palate. Excellent one.
