Bottled from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Black appearance, brown head. Very nice nose of malts with loads of coffee, some chocolate. Complex malty flavor, coffee again, some lactic notes, sweet and bitter. Creamy mouthfeel, lasting finish. Fantastic brew, one of their absolute best.

Aroma: malts, roasted grain, molasses, vanilla...flavour is more intense: roasted grain, malts with notes of chocolate, cacao, roasted coffee nibs, molasses, vanilla, some herbal, spicy hop notes and dark fruit esters. Bottle @ home. Cellared for 4 years. Pours almost black with almost no head. Aroma of cold fresh coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits and port vine. Taste is roasted and smooth, with chocolate, coffee, vanilla, plums, some raisins and slight vinous notes. Medium carbonation. Lingering notes of coffee bitterness, vanilla and licorice. Tap at GABF. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla. Medium body, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, nice booze finish, really enjoyed this.
