Tap East. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer. Small white head. Palate starts smooth but quickly turns minerally crisp. Smooth creamy malt. A big dose of perfumey floralness. The pineapple then kicks in and it tastes quite ripe. Finishes smooth. Quite clunky but I can’t help but like it.
Keg at the Rake - London. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. Nose holds a decent dose of tropical fruits, some semi-dry pineapple. Light to medium sweet fkavor with moderate dough, glue, pineapple, lemon, some bitter citrus rind. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. More semi-dry pineapple to finish, hints of glue, doughy pale malts, light bitter grass and lemon rind. So so. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2013
On tap at the Rake. Yes definitely pineapple but with quite a funky saison yeast. Quite tart. Touch of bleach. Can’t say I particularly like it. Ok Benzai (15611) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2013
Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell malts, sweetish, fruity. Taste lightly malts, lightly citrus (or is that pineapple?), lightly herbs, nicely bitter and a bit dry. Decent body and carbonation.
