Bottle. Pours a clear orange body with a one finger frothy beige head. The nose is heavy pie spice with lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, over a sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is much the same. The sweetness helps temper the spice a bit, but its still a little heavy handed for me. The hops dont seem to work all that well with the spice either. Lingering sweet caramel and spice on the finish. Medium bodied and clingy with very fizzy carbonation. Meh, cant say the heavy spice and the hops go all that well together. Pass.

Brown-Amber color, good head. Aroma reminds me first of Christmas, ratter spicy than hoppy. Malty, biscuit, spices like cinnamon. Taste is bitter, medium body, average carbonation. Refreshing finish. Not the standard IPA, which is very interesting.

bottle @Alus Tirgus.
Pours intense colored amber-orange, sparkling, beige top ahead. Aroma is heavily dominant bread/biscuit malts with far away hops touch. Flavor of "pumpkin" is really nice and smooth with no malt sweetness overwhelming in flavor and taste. In short - reminded me of pumpkin "pīrādziņ" bready from outside, pumpkinish inside. Light bitter, light dry finish, soft carbonation, medium+ body. Liked but its far from IPA.

Quite interesting pumpkin kick indeed, though bit too harsh balance with herbal hops. Light sweetness with moderate drying bitterness. Interesting, but not mine

Heidbummer (355) - SCOTLAND - DEC 27, 2016
Keg BD Edinburgh. Pours amber, lacy white head. Spice on the noise but also burnt rubber. That slightly acrid tang continues on the taste unfortunately. Its just not quite right.

A dark orange, a head is big and blond. Aroma has strong spicyness, ginger, sour orange, also some citrus and caramel. Quite balanced even the strong spicyness. Taste has same spices than in the aroma, some fruitness, pumpkin, strong body, nice bitterness to balancing. Medium+ bodied, nicely smooth. Good beer, dominating spicyness but thats not all.

erickok (5628) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 13, 2016
Typical pumpkin pie spices, also bready, leaves, resin. Quite different and I like that, plus generally its just a pleasant beer to drink. Not heavy but welcoming bitterness. Nice brew. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bire)

Bottle 12fl.oz.

[ As Flying Dog The Gourd Standard ].
Clear medium yellow - orange amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, pumpkin - pumpkin spices, moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, pumpkin - pumpkin spices, caramel, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Must admit that the combination IPA and pumpkin (spices) did not do the job for me at all :( [20161112]
