Cask at the brewery...Raging Bitch has such a strong flavor that there’s not a whole lot more. I didn’t really pull the mango, there’s a slight pepperyness to the finish, but it’s not as strong as you would expect from a habanero. Doesn’t really matter though, because a raging bitch cask rocks all on it’s own. snoworsummer (5961) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy gold brown. Tastes smooth and mild of grapefruits, pine hops, and citrus. Then gets very spicy and nicely hot. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like orange. JaBier (8178) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Cask at the Winking Lizard 5th Annual Real Ale Fest on 3/23/13. Cloudy orange pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, tropical fruit and pepper. Malty and caramelly flavor with light pepper and tropical fruit before a citrusy finish. Different, but it kinda works. sonnycheeba (6279) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Firkin at Gonzofest. Pours cloudy, dark amber with thin, off-white head. Aroma is heavy citrus and floral notes, peppers, tropical fruit, biscuit and cereal malts. Flavor is dry malts forward that blends into spicy peppers and light tropical fruit; dry finish with a subtle, lingering spiciness. Medium body and low carbonation. Tastes like nothing, then tastes like mango, then tastes like the fires of hell. Holy shit, that burn. blankboy (7788) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2013
Cask at Ginger Man, N.Y., June 1. Pours a super murky peach-copper with an average size long-lasting creamy white head. Mild but nice aroma with a good amount of hops, fruit and some light spice. Flavour also has a good amount of hops along with caramel malt and spices that come through more as you drink it. Medium bodied. Not as spicy or fruity as I’d like, too subtle for me, but still quite good. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 3, 2013
cask. Murky amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, mango, some spicy, light habenero. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, mango, some spicy, habenero burn in finish. Soft medium body, light resin. Travlr (25863) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Cask at the source. Clodu golden amber color, small off white head. Aroma of pepper, fruit, hay. Tasty, but a bit heavy on the habanero, and a bit light on the mango. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - FEB 21, 2014
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: The body is like mango puree with a slightly more amber hue. The head is tall and dense with an odd sort of orange hue, decent retention.
Aroma: The aroma is weak, hints of mango show after a long wait for it to warm, the habaneros show through though. Some of the bitterness from the IPA shows though.
Taste: The intro is oranges with a slight mango presence, the habaneros show up by the mid-taste and stay prominently on the tongue for long after the sip, adding a mild heat. The IPA bitterness is mild of grapefruit by the finish, but subdued.
Palate: Full-bodied and mildly carbonated.
Overall: Surprisingly mild considering habaneros, but the mango doesn’t really come through much. A decent effort, a lot more drinkable than expected, but it doesn’t wow me.
