Tried on draft at a hotel bar in DC (so ambiance wasn't great). Clean, strong IPA. Not sure what's particularly Belgian about it, but it's not too hoppy or floral.

Cool combo of Belgian and hoppy without ruining either. Pours medium dark orange, a bit cloudy. Nice foam head, thin but stays. Aroma is distinctively Belgian, with a pine bud afternose. First sip small bubbly smooth, Belgian feel with a hoppy tone that makes it easy drinking. Palate a little bitter, you want another sip.

Cokemonkey11 (993) - - APR 23, 2017
Bottle. Pours medium amber caramel with a thin white head residing. Scent is consistent caramel. Taste is what’s written on the tin. Nice Belgian style caramel strong ale with loads of early hops, around 70 IBU. Finish is smooth and dense of caramel. Great. dunklermessias (271) - GERMANY - APR 21, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours with a nice hazy orange color and a nice white head. WOnderful nose: Grapes, Grapefruit, some citrussy aroma, hops, nice hops, yeast, some pines, something sweet. Taste of fresh, pine hops, belgian yeast and caramel, some bananas, peach and apricot. Wow, very nice bitter and dry finish. Love it!

Bottle, many times. Along with Troubadour Magma, this must be one of my favourites Belgian IPAs. Superb orange colour, dank and citrusy, grapefruit. It retains the sweetness called for from a belgian, but balances the hops and sweetness perfectly. Very good. meccahh69lol (284) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - APR 17, 2017
Our first offering from Flying Dog and it’s a good one. It pours a nice rich amber gold color and the aroma is a yeasty belgiany nose full. The taste is a good balance betwixt the resiny hoppy IPA side and the yeasty caramelly belgo side. It is hop forward with a sweet aftertaste at first, but the more you sip it, the latter takes over, which isn’t a bad thing. This is an easy drinker which belies the 8.3% abv so watch out. Good for grubbing on leftover passover matzoh with your cutie as some chicken cooks in the kitchen. A reasonably named beer choice for the face your boo made when she was deceived about the presence of baby goats on campus. fombe89 (3701) - Asturias, SPAIN - APR 16, 2017
