3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I’ve had this a few times-just hadn’t sat down to review it yet-this is a live review.
A-Body is a pale completely transparent bronze colored body. Bubbles can be seen steadily rising to the top. Pours with a 2 finger or so head. Some lacing is left behind in the glass.
S- Overall impression of the nose is sweet an bready. Floral and slightly grassy hop overtones are present as well as a mild yeasty funk.
T- Flavor is similar to the taste-but is quite a different story. The big bitter floral and grassy hop profile chimes in right away with a sugary sweet bready yeast backbone, and a hint of funk. All the flavors intensify for the finish and the hops fade a bit but then come back in with a bitter floral lash. This lingers on for awhile with a mild spiciness.
M- Medium to high carbonation and lightweight full body.
D- This is a very good beer overall and one of the best that flying dog makes. Over the past year or so I have become a HUGE fan of Belgian IPAs-and while this one is good and definately fits to the style it doesn’t measure up to a lot of other great examples of the style.

Bottle from beer shop. Amber cloudy color, white head. Malts, tofee, Belgian yeast, American hops. A Really nice mix between a Belgian amber ale and an ipa. Really good brandy cools (5) - antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2017 does not count
the aroma is sweetish fruity with a hint of yeast. it's a golden pretty clear brew with a head that rather quickly dissapears. that taste starts out pretty caramel-like sweet but turns to a longlasting bitternes quickly. it has a full body, a great balance and a soft carbonation. All these things combine to a really good beer, not great but really good. Best new try in a long while.

A beautifully balanced full bodied beer. The taste, look and head all show you this is a serious beer. djmarcelm (2) - - OCT 5, 2017 does not count

Opalizująca pomarańcza, wpadająca w bursztyn. Aromat - karmel, grejpfrut, mango.

Pours amber from the bottle. A frothy white crown turns creamy and lingers. Aroma is mango, yeasty, malty with caramel inflections. Taste is sweet up front, fruity, but turning rapidly bitter going into the finish. Full bodied, robust, dry with moderate carbonation. Overall a nicely balanced brew, a bit too heavy and alcoholic to really be called refreshing but eminently drinkable. Good stuff. remALUS (404) - Kaunas, LITHUANIA - SEP 29, 2017

On tap. Dark yellow to amber, little bit hazy with medium, frothy, solid white head and good lacing. Strong citrus, hoppy aromas with floral, caramel and malty notes. Medium body, again malty n taste, with slightly oily mouthfeel and pretty heavy bitterness in the finish. Well balanced, would never say it is 8,3%. Very good stuff.
