Aroma: Smelling of bread, red fruit, coffee and Desivon. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Appearance: A clear amber/copper beer. An off-white head with small lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting of toffee, bread, orange chocolate and peel.
Palate: Low carbonation, a sticky texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Not really one for me, red ales seems to be difficult.
Note: Bottle 355 ml at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2013-01-26.

On tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Dark amber with an off-white head. A hoppy aroma suggests a red hop bomb might be ticking but it’s much maltier on the tongue, with caramel and red fruit escaping from a dense and almost meaty palate. Pretty tasty stuff. On tap at In de Wildeman. Reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of hops, toast, pine, burnt caramel. Flavour is hoppy, toasted malts with a little roast, pine and spruce bitter finish with a hint of coffee. Light to medium-bodied. Nice, but nothing spectacular.
