Good balance. Mild IPA. A little astringent but not too bad. Good floral and herbal aroma.

12 oz bottle. Pours copper with a big head, lively carbonation. Aroma of citrus. Flavor of caramel malt and grapefuit. some earth tones. Nice bite finish and a good representation of the style. I think this beer is under rated at a 63.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice amber color with an average size head that surprisingly has nice lacing. Nice aroma, full of citrus and pine notes. It tilts to the bitter end of the scale just a little too much. More malt presence would be nice. It has the "bite" that they are going for though.....The finish is dry and kind of makes me want to wash it down with another sip. Over all, good beer.

Good looking IPA. Pours nice amber color with a small lacing head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Bitter and dry on the tongue. Flavor is pine and citrus with a bit of malt. A little better than average.

Pours a pretty clear, amber color, with a big foamy light brown head. Smells of pretty piney hops, with some grapefruit citrus in there, but this was more piney than anything. The flavor has a nice and profound hop bite to it, with a good citrus presence to balance it out. The finish was lightly bitter, and had a nice piney aftertaste. I think this is a very nice session IPA. Certainly worthwhile to drink on a hot day.

Ibrew2or3 (9062) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 14, 2008
Pours crystal clear copper with nice somewhat lasting off white to tan head. The aroma emits modest amounts of mild grapefruit citrus hops and faint crystal malt semi sweetness. The taste has a bold tart and bitter grapefruit juice attack from the start and it doesn’t let up until the after taste fades away minutes later. I seem to get floral hops that sneak in there too on the coat tales of faint malt sweetness. Aggressive bold hop flavor but seems a bit lacking in the nose.

tgncc (3158) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAY 13, 2008
Aroma is citrusy hops, a little sour. The appearance is the standard gold/red of an IPA, white head that persists. Mild hop bitterness in the flavor, slight sweetness. Unremarkable finish, sort of bland, slight hop bite. Decent IPA, not great.

Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2008
Light copper color with unsustainable off-white head. Citrusy clean aroma, somewhat piney. Large hop character which is not very well balanced. Very bitter finish.

changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Aroma is of some sweet fruits, hops and a malty almost grassy lager like scent. The flavor has that nice bitter grapefruit hoppy flavor but it doesn’t bite hard, rather it’s gradual and easy going. It finishes bitter and somewhat dry but probably wetter than some other IPA’s. I can see this as a good entry level IPA. Nothing special but it’s still pretty good and I’d have it again.

2.9
PorterPounder (8502) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Tallahassee, Fl. - Publix Supermarkets, 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, too thin white head that dissipates quickly. Slightly gassy aroma, with a hint of rotten eggs, some mint, brief spruce. Flavor has a hint of bitter grapefruity citrus notes, some grassy notes, and a bit of the same rotten egg funkiness that is found in the aroma. Mouthfeel is a tad harsh, leaning to the thin side. The higher ABV did not seem to improve this one much.
