Pours a hazy, medium yellow-orange color with a modest, creamy, cream-colored head. The aroma is predominately a musty hop character, but a little bit of lemon brightens the dull hop character and makes this one seem somewhat light and clean. The lemon comes through in the flavor as well, but there is also more of an herbal character, creating a nice, varied hop bitterness. There is also a subtle bready malt character that balances the flavor profile to some extent. The texture is somewhat resinous, but it finishes quite clean, making it easy to drink down.

Draft (2011)… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. The bouquet is a mélange of pineapple, orange, pine, sugar cookie and light toffee. Medium-bodied with a mildly astringent mouthfeel and airy carbonation. The flavor is balanced nicely, but bland. Really, really quite bland. Crisp, mostly clean, lightly bitter finish.

Bottle @ home. Opening the bottle reveals a soft, sweet yeasty aroma with syrup and spices. Colour is nice amber with a good head on top that leaves decent lacing. Flavour is heavy, bitter. Good difference between the American hops and the European hops. I like IPA’s, but it always takes some getting used to.

Dark golden/light amber colour with massive tan head. Not too fizzy or watery liquid. Aroma of hops, some cereal and citruses along with herbs and malt. Taste is balanced but remarkable. Fine brew!

Bottle at White Horse Londen. Amber colored beer with a massive grapefruit aroma and taste. Very dry and long lasting bitter aftertaste. An IPA as I like them best.

Pours orange with a frothy off-white head. Smells musky of nuts and citrus. Bites with hoppiness, smooth almost-sweet finish.

Beersiveknown (5301) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUN 11, 2011
Dark amber beer with small white head. Some pine and lemon on the nose. Initial flavour of kiwi fruit with a sweet malt middle and fruity mango finish with a touch of bitterness. Medium palate and lightly carbonated, the alcohol makes itself known about halfway down the glass.

septimius (14) - Broomfield, Colorado, USA - JUN 10, 2011
fruity hop aroma with some malt and just a hint of a pungent aged cheese. as for taste, the malt nicely balances the floral and citrus hop flavors. alcohol flavor is almost completely hidden. a very enjoyable IPA
