(355 ml bottle. Rated @ 1.3.2010.)
Pours an orange colour and a white head. Classic IPA-like nose; peaches, grapefruit, lemon and floral hops on the nose. Could be a bit more fresh. Smooth hoppy taste with mild bitterness and raisins. Medium bodied with a oily and smooth texture and soft carbonation. Dry finish. Could be a bit more bitter.

Hasnt travelled well. Hops have fallen off and turned in to a bit of a cara-malt bomb. Something nice might have been there once.....

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 28, 2010
from old notes Clear copper hue beneath an off-white head. Spicy citrus nose of grapefruit and lemons with some pine and caramel; perhaps some garlic as well. Quite dry, minimal bready sweetness, citric acidity and fairly heavy bitterness; tastes of orange and pine. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonation. A good drop but it wouldnt suffer from more aroma.

Why are there not more beers like this? This overly-hoppy beer cuts the summer heat and the grapefruit, pine taste is so refreshing.

Bottle. Clear Amber color with a thin foam. Very nice floral hop aroma with some citrus notes on it. Flavor is bitter with herbal notes, amazing one. Mouthfeel is long and bitter, pretty nice..

351 mL bottle. Another one Ive somehow managed to miss rating over the years. Not exactly a balanced beer (not that its supposed to be.) It is definitely hop-forward, but theyve done a nice job of creating a big hop aroma and flavour (mostly citrus) without it becoming overwhelming. Solid beer.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a nice clear amber color with thick white head, has a great hoppy aroma and taste is fairly balanced, pretty good.

Bottle. Pours an orange color with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with citrus and pine aromas, along with some sweet maltiness and some toffee. The flavor is quite nice balanced between bitterness and malty sweetness, with flavors of grapefruit, ctirus, slight amount of pine in the aftertaste, some sweet and bready malts and some toffee. Body is medium and fairly dry, as your standard IPA. Overall a pretty good IPA from Flying Dog!

Nice IPA. Much better than I expected. Bold hops flavor but not overpowering and unbalanced. Serving: Bottle
