Bottled. Pours amber with smallish off-white tan head. Taste is well-bittered. Palate has medium body, slick feel, lively carbonation, a fairly short and tannin-like drynes in the finish. Aromas have caramel, fruity hops and grapefruit, grains. imdownthepub (14554) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2010
Keg, 330ml at Trapistlokaal t klooster, Delft. Sl cloudy amber with white head. Initially I thought why come to Holland and then try American beers, but what the hell. Sharp, bittersweet hop notes with a touch of pipe cleaner, bitter lemons, challenging. exparte (59) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 20, 2010
Sweet biscuity malt upfront followed by orange citrus and pine. Bright orange with a wispy white head. Significant residual sweetness that’s quickly overpowered by bitterness. Soft and a bit oily with surprisingly dry bitter finish despite the residual sweetness. Nice hop profile but a bit too harsh. conciergeman (73) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 16, 2010
Decent IPA. Poured with a thick pilow-y head that left too quickly. Good bitterness, but thats about it. Lots of hops, which I really enjoy, but the other flavors that could have possibly been there to finish it off, or act as under-notes were too absent. Good taste for a hot day outdoors, but the re-buy ranking on this particular beer is a 5 out of 10. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUL 16, 2010
Bottle to snifter. Pour is orange and clear with a big foamy head that dissipates to a flim on top. Aroma of pine and spruce with some malt as well. Taste is strong pine and grapefruit with a hint of fruit. Palate is chaulky and gritty. Overall I really enjoyed this one, good beer.

Light yellow color, moderate hop flavor, weaker than most IPAs. Very drinkable, aftertaste of light honey Suneson (58) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2010
Pours a nice amber color with a head that laces the glass to the last sip. Strong aroma of citrus and pine. More on the bitter side of the scale which I like. Leaves a good bite of an aftertaste. Pretty good beer Frank (4194) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Flying dog says this is a "Colorado-style" IPA and I have no idea what that could mean. I guess it is west coast as much as anything but, honestly, I kind of thing regional differences between IPAs w/in the US are minimal. It’s a clear orange color w/ a small head and a bit of lace, very unexceptional appearance-wise but nice enough. The nose is great though, big hops, loads of pine and fruit. The taste doesn’t really hold up though. It is sort of bitter and one dimension, astringent w/ a sort of iced tea character. The palate is decent enough, medium bodied w/ brisk carbonation, but I just don’t think this is exceptional for its style or in general. coyforce (684) - California, USA - JUL 10, 2010
Nice pale ale. Delicious hoppy flavor and no bitter aftertaste. Pours a nice medium light brown with a small white head. aaronbr (188) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Standard IPA coloring and nice effervescence from this one. Pretty standard taste, one that stacks up with my favorite West Coast IPAs.
