I have been going through this breweries offerings and picked up their ipa to close my weekend ...poured a nice golden copper with a two finger off white head that stuck around for a few with lacing that just stuck to the glass all the way ...a lot of citrus and pine on the nose with a hint of pineapple ...taste is the same with the Columbus hops and dare I say some cascades coming through in the beginning, I also get a nice malt backbone its faint but its there this ipa also seems to coat the mouth with a kinda oily bitterness on the finish which is to be expected with the style although Ive had some ipas with a cleaner finish all in all this is a great ipa may not end up your favorite but worth trying without a doubt, Ill have this one again kudos to you flying dog ...cheers

Pours a deep amber with a medium, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, malt toffee and something herbal. Fennel and ...anise? Reminded me of cough drops quite a bit. Medium sweetness upfront in terms of taste, turns into a dry bitterness that lasts long past the initial finish. Medium body, lively carbonation, feels very round.
Great in terms of mouth feel, but a bit too sweet and herbal to NOT remind me of cough drops. Interesting, but a bit much. The ABV doesnt show at all.

From 33 bottle. Pours hazy, loaded gold with medium foam, very fine. Aroma is herbaceous, citrus, and resinous. Body is medium, maybe a little dense. Taste is markedly bitter, to the point a little astringency is felt. Finish had some additional bitterness.

On tap, Imperial IPA de Estados Unidos. De las primeras que empec a tomar en su estilo hace ya varios aos. Muy correcta en todos sus parametros. Buen ejemplo del estilo. Lupulada, fresca, potente y amarga.

Golden colour. Clasic malt characters like herbs, caramel make nice contrast with hop aromas as grep, lemon or mango. Alcohol start in taste, continued to sweet tones and full flavour of caramel. Finnish is bittery and lower citrusy, just enough. This beer is smooth, not too much hops, not too much malts.

Color mbar casi naranja. Aroma a lpulo y a naranja. Sabor muy intenso, afrutado al principio y con un retrogusto amargo bastante fuerte pero tampoco excesivo. No est nada mal.

Loved the original Snake Dog - was one of my favorite IPAs back in the day. Lets see what they replaced it with. Bottle from Total Wine & More - West Richmond. Clear golden, dusting of a white head. Aroma of sweet & sour citrus hops, apricot as well. Flavor is floral-fruity - mango, apricot, some citrus hops, and lightly floral. Finishes slightly metallic. Not as good as the original, if memory serves me correctly.

14.12.2016 - Decent hop note in nose. Quite bitter IPA with citrus notes and a thin pale malt body. Drinkable but nothing special

350ml can, filtered, from Tesco. I didnt like the pre-2008 5.8% abv Snake Dog, and putting in extra abv doesnt make this version any nicer. Not enough malt character, and too much focus on the hops for my taste. Each to their own. This is, however, drinkable. While the resulting beer is a bit like drinking a technicolor yawn with its vomit odour, it is drinkable, so points for that.
